The Last Hour

        1 John 2:18
Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.

As there are many that paved the way which leads to The Messiah's arrival, so, too, are there many leading the way to the antichrist, which is the opposite of everything Christ is.
Christ Jesus is Truth. The antichrist is a liar. Christ Jesus is Life. The antichrist is death. Christ Jesus is Hope. The antichrist is despair. Christ Jesus is Eternal Life. The antichrist is death twice over.
Which one do you believe and follow?

 Matthew 24:5
For many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.
Matthew 24:24
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.
 1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons.

Be Ready, Be Armed

    Romans 13:11, 12
And do this, understanding the occasion. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
The night is nearly over; the day has drawn near. So let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

    1 Peter 4:7
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.

Guard Your Heart - - Guard Against Idolatry (An Undivided Heart)

1 John 5:21
Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from idols - [false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God's place in your heart].

*Strong's Ex. Conc. No. 1497
Idols: an image for worship, a false god
From the Greek word ' eidólon' (pronounced i'-do-lon).

From the time God set up the law defining Who should be worshiped and who should not, God's people (and many others who do believe) know their ten commandments; somewhat.
Exodus 20:1-6 is very specific about Who gets our worship and why.
1. And God spoke all these words, saying,
2. I am The LORD your God which brought you out of the land of Egypt, which delivered you out of the house of bondage,
3. You shall have no other gods before Me.
4. You shall not make for yourselves any graven images, or any likeness that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5. You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them: for I, The LORD, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the third and the fourth generation of them that hate Me;
6. And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.

To break this commandment is to turn our hearts from God. It's to turn our backs on God, to disregard His Word as unimportant in our lives, when, in point of fact, God's Word should be have the highest regard in our hearts and our lives. Our hearts are more than His dwellingplace, His home: our hearts are God's throne room. If The LORD truly reigns in our hearts, then we live to serve Him.
The person who does not live to serve The Almighty God is serving another god and has consigned themselves to His judgment and wrath. But there's hope (v 6). God shows mercy to the people who love Him and diligently keep His commandments, who guard His commandments in their hearts.
It's okay to say, "No" when someone invites you somewhere where the temptation to give in to sin will be hard to overcome. Pressure to disobey God is from the devil; escape from temptation is from God (1 Corinthians 10:13, 14). And we are to flee from idolatry.
It is both difficult at times and obvious at other times who is serving God with a sincere heart and who is not. This is why the believer needs spiritual discernment that only comes with being filled with God's Holy Spirit. He is the voice of caution, that sense of "I'm not sure I trust" feeling when we interact with some people.
In 1 Corinthians 5:11 Paul is writing to the believers, the church, to be careful of those in their congregation who claim to be brothers in Christ but whose actions prove otherwise. And that these are the idolaters that they are to avoid associating with. The same holds true for us today. To you who say we are not to judge one another, the Word says, "For what is it to me to judge those outside? Do you not judge those within? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:12, 13.
We must rid our churches of wolves in sheep's clothing: people who pretend to be brothers and sisters in Christ whose only object is to divide the church and overthrow it. But in order to do so effectively, we must fill ourselves with The Word of God and be filled with His Holy Spirit that we may discern the truth and rise up against that which is unholy in our midst.
The wedding garments of the bride of Christ must be unblemished and unstained; she must be pure and holy. Idolatry and idolaters are spots and blemishes on her garments. We must surrender our hearts fully to God and we must do so with loving hearts: hearts that desire to worship and serve God the way He wants to be loved and worshiped.
When Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness to worship Satan, He replied with The Word of God, "It is written". The verses of Scripture to which Christ was referring are in Deuteronomy 6:13 and 10:20. James reminds us here in chapter 4 verse 7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
We who desire to serve God faithfully, who love Him with all of our hearts, and our minds, and our souls have turned from idol worship to God worship. We have repented of the wickedness of our hearts in serving other gods and surrendered our hearts to God: we want Him to rule over us.
You think you haven't been serving other gods? When you could take time out of your busy day to read and pray over God's Word but don't, what are you doing instead? When you could go to a church that preaches the full gospel of God's Word and not some sprinkled down, nit-picking preaching, where are you? When you could be spending time in your prayer closet, your war room, so to speak, but you aren't, to whom are you voicing your complaints, your desires, your drama?
Idols are everywhere. Saints cannot answer prayer. Statues cannot answer prayer. Social media cannot give you wise answers in response to your seekings. Church, we need to come to God and come quickly, to rid ourselves of the idols we have set up. We need to tear them down and burn them to ashes. As they who obeyed God in the Old Testament did. It is time to fall down before God with humble hearts and rise up against wickedness in high places in the church.
Many churches are splitting from their global parent because they are choosing to follow God's Word faithfully. And are being come against for their conservative stance in this unhealthy, sinful world. They are removing the blemishes and stains from their garments, their congregations. I would hope they/we are doing so with love and mercy, as well as integrity and faithfulness to the Word of God.
    Psalm 86:9-11
9. All the nations You have made will come and bow before You, O Lord, and they will glorify Your name.
10.   For You are great and perform wonders; You alone are God.
11. each me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.

Signs & Wonders of Christ's Arrival - - For This Purpose

1 John 3:8
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

*Strong's Ex. Conc. No. 5319
Manifest(ed): make visible, make clear, make known, to illumine, bring to light
From the Greek word 'phaneroó' (pronounced fan-er-o'-o).

EYEWITNESS TESTIMONY
With regards to Christ, it is His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection and His ascension.
The first people to see Him were Joseph and Mary, His earthly parents. The last people to see Him, before He ascended to heaven, were the eleven apostles (Judas having died and Matthias not yet selected). He arrives humbly and quietly. All the hoopla and fanfare occurred within minutes of His birth. He came to this earth in an unusual manner and He left in an equally unusual manner. But He was seen by people both times.

Matthew and Luke give His birth announcements. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John give us accounts of His life and ministry. The four gospels according to books also render eyewitness accounts of His death and His resurrection. The Book of Acts gives eyewitness testimony of His ascension.

THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTS ARRIVAL
"To destroy the works of the devil".
What are these works and who is this devil? Everything that is not of God and His Christ is of the devil, which is why he is referred to as antichrist: against Christ. Though there have been many such antichrists through the centuries, the final antichrist will be fully revealed when the abomination of desolation makes himself known by setting himself up in the temple (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11; Matthew 24:15).
In Genesis 3:1, the serpent questioned God's Word. In Genesis 3:4, 5 the serpent lied about the veracity of God's Word.
Ezekiel 28:11-19, though spoken of to a mere man has a double meaning. It also refers to the devil's origins. Isaiah 14:11-17 (cf) Luke 10:18 wherein Satan falls from heaven. Revelation 20:2 refers to the devil as: dragon (huge fabulous [both in size and covering] serpent), ancient serpent (original/from the beginning snake), devil (accuser/slanderer) and Satan (adversary).

ACCOMPLISHING HIS PURPOSE
During Christ's three year ministry preaching the gospel of God we are given many examples and parables of how to overcome the enemy of our souls. When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus overcame his attempts at manipulations with THE WORD OF GOD, "It is written" was His response all three times (Matthew 4:1-10; Luke 4:1-12).
When Satan riled up people to throw stones at Jesus, He hid Himself and escaped. But when Satan incited a mob to demand that Jesus be crucified, the purpose of Christ's arrival was set in its final motion. It is through the cross that God's purpose for His only begotten Son's earthly stay was fulfilled.
Being God's Lamb, He is sacrificed to atone for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2), from the beginning to the end, from the first people to the last people: one time for all time. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world". The whole world, not just parts of it, not just certain segments of time in it, but all the world.  Hebrews 2:14 "to destroy him who holds the power of death, the devil".
Being God's only begotten Son, He is raised from the dead because death could not hold Him. Acts 2:24, Acts 10:40. Death has no power over Life, for Jesus is Life (John 1:4, John 14:6).
A person would have to read, and study out, all four gospel books, plus Acts and Hebrews to gain just a taste of, a glimpse of, what Jesus Christ had to do in order to accomplish God's purpose of destroying the devil and all his works.
It is our faith in Christ and our faith in God that accomplishes God's purpose in us through the blood which He shed on the cross and His being raised from the dead which overcomes the devil's destruction in us and in our lives (Romans 3:25). Simple Truth for chaotic times.

BELIEVE ON HIS NAME
The Promise of Salvation and being given The Holy Spirit  is given to not only the head of the house but to everyone living under that person's roof. Acts 16:15, 31; Acts 18:8.
The Promise of Salvation and being given The Holy Spirit  is given to everyone who hears the gospel message being preached and receives it. Acts 2:38, 39.
The Promise of Salvation is given on an individual basis. Mark 16:16; John 3:18, 36; Romans 10:9, 10, 13.

Believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you, too, will be saved. Saved from the punishment of sin, for Christ took our sins upon Himself when He was on the cross. Isaiah 53:4, 5; 1 Peter 2:23, 24.
1 John 4:15
If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides (lives) in him, and he (lives) in God.
It's why I can sing, This World Is Not My Home. For my home is in God and His home is in heaven. Have you made the Lord your home? Has He taken up residence in you? The Love of God was made manifest in the Person of Jesus Christ and this Love lives in me. It is why I urgently beg you to reconsider and to believe that Jesus Christ Is Lord.
His return is imminent. He's coming to take His people home with Him.

Thanks Be To God - - For His Revealed Love

1 JOHN 4:9
This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.

*Strong's Ex. Conc. No. 5319
Revealed: make visible, make clear, make known, manifest, illumine, make apparent
From the Greek word 'phaneroó' (pronounced fan-er-o'-o)

REVEALED LOVE OF GOD
1 John 4:7-10
7. Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
8. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
9. This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.
10. And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

John 1:18
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father's side, has made Him known.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 John 4:16
And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us

Isn't it amazing how much God loves each one of us?! It's a beautiful love, too. He wrapped His Word in mere flesh, called Him His Son, and sent Him to die an ugly death on the cross, to liberate people from the bondage of slavery to sin: to set free those who would choose to believe on the only Name that could save us from the consequences of our sinful natures.

THE NAME OF GOD'S REVEALED LOVE
Matthew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.
Jeremiah 23:6
In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is His name by which He will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.
John 1:29
The next day John sees Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

THE METHOD OF GOD'S REVEALED LOVE
A mock trial ensued after the Lord was blindfolded, beaten and mocked. Having been found guilty by those who hated Him, Jesus was then flogged 39 times across His back.
Isaiah 53
Matthew 27:24-31
Mark 15:16-20
Luke 22:63-65
John 19:1-3
Though Pilate tried to have Jesus released, he saw that the crowds were riled up demanding that Jesus be crucified because He had said He was God. And for them, that was just too much to take.
God's method of His revealed love was for The WORD to die on the cross. Such a death as this, because He was the sinless LAMB OF GOD (John 1:29), would take away the sins of the world. Not just my sins. Not just your sins. Not just the sins of people we know in our own lives, but of The WHOLE world: from times long past, from this present time, from the times to come: JESUS died on the cross.
It was God's Perfect Plan which had been set in motion back in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sinned against Him. What JESUS did on the cross was foretold to happen.
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity (hostility) between you and the woman, and between your seed (sons of the devil [John 8:44]; generation of vipers [Matthew 3:7]) and her seed (sons of the heavenly Father [ Matthew 5:45]; generation of  the Lord [Psalm 22:30, 24:6]) . He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.

Dear God,
Thank you So MUCH for sending Your Son to die in my place. I could never have gotten this far in my life without You IN my heart and my life. I am Yours. May I continue to the best of my ability the work You have set before me. All the days of my life and then some I am Yours to command.
Strengthen these feeble knees, make sure my steps, that I may walk with You without delay, for time is surely our enemy. But an eternity with You is very much better than even one moment without You.
I give You my heart: it's Yours. Make Yourself at home here, LORD. I give You my body to do with as You will. Be glorified through me. I give You my life: You gave Your Son's life so I could live beyond death, beyond the boundaries of time: in eternity with You. Thank You for this wonderful blessing of Eternal Life in You.
O God, SAVE our Families! Deliver our children from the hands of the enemy into which they have placed themselves. Some in ignorance, some willfully, boastfully. BUT YOU O GOD can break their hearts, that their willfulness would pour out and Your brokenness be writ in. We who pray for the lost and the dying know that there is still time left for them to surrender their hearts and their lives to YOU.
O God, You are My GOD. You are my Everything. In You I am blessed. In You I am saved. In You I am loved. In You I shine. Shine in me, LORD and through me to a dark and dying world.
In Jesus' Priceless Name, I pray,
Amen

Know The Word

 1 John 3:7
Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous.

Unrighteousness = Wickedness:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Or do you not know that the unrighteous ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 13:12-13
The night is nearly over; the day has drawn near. So let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. We should walk properly, as in daytime; not in reveling and drinking, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in dissension and jealousy.

Righteousness = Justification/Uprightness/Conforming to God's Will (Standard of Rightness)
Galatians 5:22-24
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.

Romans 13:14
Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 3:27
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.

Love's Ultimate Sacrifice

LOVE'S ULTIMATE SACRIFICE
1 John 4:10
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Propitiation in the Bible is used twice (1 John 2:2 & 1 John 4:10) and means: atoning sacrifice to appease a holy God whose very presence and name is Holy and, thus, demands a holy people.

But we cannot make ourselves clean enough nor holy enough to be in God's presence. We needed Someone to do this for us. So God sent His one and only Son, whose ultimate purpose was to die on the cross with the weight of the sins of the whole world laid upon Him; to take our place and our punishment for sin.

No matter how much we love God it is not enough to save our souls.
No matter how much God loves us it is not enough to save our souls.

We must believe that Jesus Christ IS God's one and only Son, that Christ did die on the cross in our stead, that He conquered death, hell and the grave by walking out of the tomb (leaving it empty) and into the eternal presence of God His Holy Father. That's faith. My faith.
