On A Mission From God

On A Mission From God

2 Corinthians 3:6
"He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life." (NLT)

We who have been born again are on a mission from God. It is a mission delegated to all of God's ministers: Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (KJV) It is a mission of purpose: John 3:16-18 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Our mission has requirements and standards by which we live and die.
2 Corinthians 6 describes both hardships and rewards for God's ministers. In fact, there are many Scriptures throughout The Holy Bible which touch on this subject; I offer you this one only.
From the NASB rendering of 2 Corinthians 6:1-10=
1 And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain--
2 for He says, "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION "--
3 giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,
4 but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,
5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger,
6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love,
7 in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left,
8 by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true;
9 as unknown yet well-known, as dying yet behold, we live; as punished yet not put to death,
10 as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things.

God's ministers go through many things to preach the gospel to the lost souls. A lost soul is someone who does not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. A lost soul believes that religion will save him or her. A lost soul follows and obeys other gods. A lost soul can be sitting on the pew or standing behind the pulpit; after all a good salesman can sell anything to the right person, right?

But God's ministers don't sell the gospel, we live the gospel. For The Gospel of Salvation is not only through Christ Jesus, but IS Christ Jesus. "In Him we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:28.

We Shall See The King When He Comes, Won't We?

The thing about holiness is, if we don't meet God's required standards, are we going to see The King of Kings with joy or with pain?
We Shall See The King is sung with anticipation. It is announced and declared to both those who know and those who do not know. The people who know The King intimately are singing with great joy for they have already met Him: on their knees. The people who know not The King sing not at all.
Many think because they are off-key or tone deaf, they should not be singing. You are wrong. The Word of God says to make a joyful NOISE. Nowhere does it say we have to be pitch perfect and tuned up to sing songs of praise to God and Jesus Christ.
Psalm 98:4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Blessed Be The Name of The Lord

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun, unto its going down,
The Name of The Lord is to be praised. (KJV)

Malachi 1:11
But My Name is honored by people of other nations from morning till night.
All around the world they offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of My Name.
For My Name is great among the nations," says The LORD of Heaven's Armies. (NLT)

The Name of The Lord Is:

Proverbs 18:10 A Strong Tower
Matthew 1:21 JESUS, He Saves His People From Sin
Matthew 1:23 Emmanuel, God With Us
Matthew 9:27 Son of David
Luke 1:32 Son of The Most High
Isaiah 9:6 Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace
Isaiah 11:1 Branch
Luke 2:11 The Messiah
John 3:16 God's one and only Son
Ephesians 2:14 Our Peace
Acts 2:21 & Romans 10:13 Savior/Salvation
Amos 9:8 The Sovereign Lord
Isaiah 59:20 The Redeemer

To call on God for anything or any reason, is to believe that God exists. Therefore, since God exists, God is to be heard, listened to and obeyed. For JEHOVAH, GOD IS, is above all other gods, greater than all other lords. The Lord God has been given All Authority by His Father, The God who created the earth, the heavens and all that is therein.

When God sent His one and only Son, Him whom He begot through The Holy Spirit hovering over Mary, He sent Him to be Savior, Deliverer, Redeemer. JESUS means He Shall Save His People From Sin. Deliverer is who He became when He saved us: He delivered us out of the snares of sin. Redeemer, which He did when He died on the cross and rose from the dead; declaring and showing that He held the keys to death, hell and the grave.

His mercy endures for ever, unto a thousand generations, as He promised Moses: Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9 to Joshua 'Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;'. That includes us.

Blessed Be The Name of The Lord, For His Mercy Endures For Ever.
