In Christ We Are: Complete

Part 8-

Colossians 2:9-12 "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power: In Whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised Him from the dead."

We are complete in Christ; we lack nothing. Psalm 23:1 "The LORD Is my Shepherd, I shall not want." The word 'want' in this verse means 'lack'. I shall not lack anything that The Shepherd knows I need, for He provides it for me. We are the body of Christ, and He is the head of the church. Where the head goes, the body must follow; it cannot be contrary, but must, indeed, submit to the direction in which the head moves.

Complete: to make whole, lacking nothing, made perfect, having all parts, undivided. The thesaurus gives us quite a few words and/or phrases that could mean the same. While most of these do not apply in this study, a couple do: unbroken and faultless. In Christ we are complete: "we are unbroken and faultless".

We are unbroken because we are made perfect in Him. We are faultless because the blood of Jesus Christ has washed away our sins; His righteousness covers us.
