Kiss The Son

This one was first shared on Facebook last week with a few verses only, then sent via email with differing verses. You know why? Everything gets delivered fresh.

(KJV) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Psalm 2:12

Has your relationship with Jesus Christ been so sweet, that you just caress your Bible and kiss it? The devil tried to make me feel silly and stupid when I began doing this. He will use any means whatsoever, any tactic, to separate you and I from Jesus. Satan is jealous of God, he always has been; and he is out to destroy whoever belongs to, or is trying to draw near to, God and His Son Jesus Christ. Don't let this snake destroy you.

What is The Holy Bible? It is The Word of God in print, enabling individuals to READ The Word of God. This Holy Bible that is so carelessly tossed aside by some, is cherished by others. We know: The Word of God is Jesus Christ. In John 1:1-4, 14-17 we see that this is true:
1In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. 4In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. ... 14And The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of The Father,) full of grace and truth15John bare witness of Him, and cried, saying, This was He of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for He was before me. 16And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18No man hath seen God at any time; The Only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.

That Holy Bible IS The Holy Word of God. In print. Under the inspiration of The Holy Spirit, The Holy Scriptures were given to men to write. Today, The Holy Bible is printed in thousands of languages and dialects. But not all tongues have heard The Good News, the gospel of salvation. What is The Good News? The gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. And what are Christ's first words after preparing for the ministry which was given Him by His Father? 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Matthew 4:1-9 is the way in which Jesus prepared for ministry. Matthew 4:17 17From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Another word for kingdom is sovereignty. Jesus was preaching The Good News, 'Repent (turn from your wicked ways back to God): for the Kingdom (The Sovereignty) of heaven is at hand (near, close). Words that bring conviction on a person's heart are not scary once you know what they mean. It is not the meaning of the word that bothers us, though: it's the after we repent part: change. This universe is in constant motion, change is inevitable. When our immediate universe is confronted by The Holy Spirit, we need to walk through that spirit of fear and allow ourselves to be changed by The Word of God.

Repent. Turn away from your sins. Turn back to God. It is a 180-degree turn. It is turning our back on wickedness and evil and facing our God with our hearts wide open. We say, Lord God, I am a sinner. I know I have been disobedient to Your Word. I know I have broken Your law. I am a terrible person. Oh Lord, please forgive me. I did not know before. I was ignorant of Your Word and of You. Please, Lord, take the wicked desires from my heart and replace them with Your Word, with Your Son. Wash me clean, Lord. I believe that Your Son is True. I believe that Jesus Christ is The Only Begotten Son of The Father. I believe that He died for me on that cross; that instead of me being humiliated, tortured and killed, Jesus took my place and died in my stead. I believe that three days later, Christ rose from the dead and walked out of the grave, then later ascended into heaven, where He is interceding on my behalf. Please, God, let me live. In You, with You and for You. Your Word says to see You a person must be holy, so Lord make me holy, 'cause I want to see You. Thank You and Praise You God for Your merciful kindness to me. I who once was lost in my sins am now saved in Your grace. Teach me Your Ways and Your Word. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Recognizing that Christ is The Sovereignty of heaven, one would hope that repentance would be instantaneous. But, unfortunately, many who see that this is so will walk away from The Truth. Because not only is their sight unclear, their heart is too full of themselves to make room for one more, especially if that one more is going to change the life they enjoy living. See, we have to want to be changed more strongly than we want to be who we were before we got saved. I bet some of you are put off by the word saved, too.

There are terms in The Word of God that throw people off, scare them away. It is not God's fault that these terms are off-putting to people: it is the fault of the wolves in sheep's clothing who have infiltrated churches and misused and abused The Scriptures to suit themselves. These people are also known to God as false prophets, false teachers, liars. I am not one of these people: I am one of God's people. You can see when you study Your Word that what I share with you is Truth. Do not raise me up, nor lower me down to their level; it is not I who receives praise, God gets the glory for everything I do.

We have already seen what Repent means. Saved? John 3:16, 17 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved
Romans 5:6-11 6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Ephesians 2:1-10 1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Saved from what? The wrath of God. How? Through faith. And faith simply means to believe God Is and that His Word is True. Hebrews 11:1 describes what faith is: 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is both substance and evidence for the believer, the one who believes that God Is and that His Word is True.
Saved by grace. And what is grace? It is the gift of God. It is God's lovingkindness exemplified in Christ Jesus, through Him we are saved from the wrath of God.

God's wrath is for God's enemies. Through Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son of The Father, we are saved from that wrath. Nothing you or I, nor any one else, can save us. Only Jesus can save us from God's wrath. And what does God ask us to do in order to receive that gift? Believe. Repent.

A Blessing For The New Year

May the multitude of God's blessings be on each and every one of you as the year 2012 comes to an end and 2013 makes its grand entrance. Each and every day God has something planned for us. Not only do we need to be ready to receive from God, but we need to be willing and ready to give back to God. This year has been just as full of surprises as every year preceding it. Once I made the commitment to draw closer to God and become aware of how close He is to me, I did not go back on it. And this coming year, 2013, I choose to make that same commitment.
God is faithful. His many promises, given throughout the ages via His Word in The Holy Scriptures, have been received and fulfilled many times over by they who believe and know that God Is. It is God Who desires to draw close to each and every one of us. He made that same commitment when He sent His Only begotten Son into the world, that those who believe on Him and on His Name would be saved from the condemnation of sin which is upon them. And that condemnation is death. John 3:15-17.
Believers will not taste death. (Romans 8:1, 2) For while it appointed unto mankind once to die, and then the judgment (Hebrews 9:27), for the believer death is but another door. More like a doorstep, actually. Because Jesus Christ is The Door: IAM The Way, The Truth and The Life; no man comes to The Father BUT BY ME, thereby declaring Himself to be the entryway, the doorway into God's eternal presence. Referenced in John 14:6.
Created by God and breathed into by the breath of God are we. We are ever present with the blessing of life by God; but like many among us, life is taken for granted. We have seldom thanked God for the breath He breathes through us each moment of our lives. With a humble heart and full knowledge of my statements, I surrender my body a living sacrifice to God, as many others have before me and many others will after me. (Romans 12:1). For I have this body to use because God gives it to me. He cause my heart to pump oxygen to my brain and my lungs to fill with air and breath in and breathe out. God is my Creator. He is my Life, my Song, my Joy, my Savior. He is my All.
JESUS IS ALL THE WORLD TO ME - MIDI FILE

JESUS IS ALL THE WORLD TO ME
1.Jesus is all the world to me, my life, my joy, my all;He is my strength from day to day, without Him I would fall. When I am sad, to Him I go, no other one can cheer me so;When I am sad, He makes me glad, He’s my Friend.
2.Jesus is all the world to me, my Friend in trials sore;I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them over and o’er.He sends the sunshine and the rain, He sends the harvest’s golden grain;Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, He’s my Friend.
3.esus is all the world to me, and true to Him I’ll be;O how could I this Friend deny, when He’s so true to me?Following Him I know I’m right, He watches o’er me day and night;Following Him by day and night, He’s my Friend.
4.Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better Friend;I trust Him now, I’ll trust Him when life’s fleeting days shall end.Beautiful life with such a Friend, beautiful life that has no end;Eternal life, eternal joy, He’s my Friend.

I love the old songs, the classics, the beautiful hymns I grew up on. It is a good thing I know many of them by heart, for I have great difficulty seeing the tiny font in our song books. I did not think I would live this long. When I was younger, I always thought I would die before I turned 30. And every year passing that, I did not take for granted, but I was not wise enough yet to use my life for God's glory either. Not until I turned 34, when I surrendered my heart and my life to God. It was at that time, that I first learned of The Holy Spirit. I heard Him and saw Him in action in the little Methodist church up the street from where we lived. It was here I learned that I needed The Holy Spirit in my life, but I was not there long enough to learn how to receive Him.
That happened after I moved to Kenosha and began to attend a little brick Full Gospel Church with, of all things, a woman pastor. How nice that God would surround me with so many supportive women in His ministry at a time when I had little trust in any man, even God's men. God will take us through our struggles, situations we have created by making wrong choices, when we let Him lead. It is only when we lead that we get into trouble. But when God leads our life, then the troubles that plague us glorify His Name, instead of detracting from His Name.
The reason I am here at all, though, is because someone prayed for me. They prayed for my salvation when I was lost in sin. They prayed for me to be in love with Jesus Christ. They prayed for me to draw closer to God day by day. They prayed for me to be filled with The Holy Spirit. People still pray for me. Some more often than I pray, some less. Yet, still, we pray for each other. So, this year, in addition to all the blessings you will be receiving from the hand of God, as He allows, I pray that you not only surrender your hearts and your lives to God, but your bodies also. That your will would be surrendered to God's will and His Name glorified on your behalf.
My prayer for my children, my family and my friends all this year, in fact for the last 3 years, has been: "Lord, save them, fill them and give them a desire to serve You . Lord, hear my cry, hear my prayer. Bend an ear to this sayer, hear me. Hear my heart, heart my voice; save our children this is our choice. To give them to You. We haved dedicated our children from birth to You, Lord. To raise them in Your ways and to teach them to follow Your will for their lives. Now, they are on their own, most of them, and still we are giving them to You. As we gave You to them when they were little children, now we give them to You in their young adulthood."
My prayer is that those we pray for would receive The Holy Spirit, for it is The Holy Spirit Who guides us in God's Word, God's Will and God's Ways. It is The Holy Spirit who emboldens us with power to overcome temptation. But we have to listen to Him. You cannot blow off The Holy Spirit. We have to listen if we want to draw closer to God and if we want God to draw closer to us. We need to obey The Holy Spirit when He speaks, for He speaks The Word of God when God gives it to Him. The Holy Spirit is The Wisdom of God. And leads us in the fear of God, the reverencing of God, the worship of God.
~Acts 2:1 "One accord in one place"
Ephesians 4:4 "One body, one Spirit, one hope of your calling; 4:5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism; 4:6 "One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

I pray Ephesians 3 over my family and my friends. Sometimes where a name can be inserted I just use group names, like FRIENDS or FAMILY, or a person's given name. Read it carefully and pray carefully before you read it out loud. As with all Scripture, there is Power in This Spoken Word as well as the words we speak on a daily basis. Our words can destroy relationships within the family bonds or strengthen relationships within the same. Our words can kill, can heal, can wound, can refresh. If chosen carefully, and thinking at length, constantly and consistently kneeling at the throne of grace before we open our mouths to each other and to God. For it is the breath of God that gives us breath to not only breathe, but to speak. What we are given in love should not be shared in hate or misspokenness.
Though I was able to share this personally with 50 friends and family via facebook, this blessing and prayer, from my heart and my thoughts, is intended to be given to all of my family and friends, and received in the manner in which it was given: with love.

An Innocent Man

An innocent man died the other day. A mock trial was held. The prosecutors produced witnesses who committed perjury. The defendant was not allowed a line of defense and no lawyer would take his case. He was held without bail and was not given the opportunity to call home nor anyone who would plead his case for him. At the time of his arrest he was with his friends; all of whom disappeared and could not be found to be held as co-defendants.

His accusers in this mock trial smacked him in the face and spit on him, taunting him with their statements. Though he was oft asked who it was that he believed to be hitting him, he never replied, which set off their blood-lust even more against him. In a matter of hours he was brought before a judge who believed him to be innocent but condemned him anyway because of the uproar of the crowd who believed him to be guilty.

He was taken by the guards who amused themselves at his expense. A leather whip, whose laces were studded with shards of glass and sharp metal, was repeatedly used on him. Sharp spikes were imbedded forcefully into his head, causing his swollen face to become, if possible, even more bloody and unbearable to look upon. They mocked his stature in the surrounding communities and pretended to be in awe of him.

Forced to carry the method by which he would be slain, his weary and beaten body gave out beneath the physical and emotional weight of it. Some poor soul was taken from the crowds that lined the streets to carry it for him. Removing his clothes, they attached the him him to the hanging tree with metal studs; whereupon they began to gamble for his clothes, for they were very handsome, though he no longer was.

Made fun of in life, he was allowed no release from this in his death. And anyone who wanted to was allowed to watch his execution. Most were relieved. But his poor Mom had to watch him suffer and die, too. Some of his friends watched him die and he asked one of them to take care of his Mom later, which he did. But when he had died, the excitement of the day died down and everyone just walked away.

How could this happen in any civilized culture? No lawyer, no line of defense, no way out. Unless he denied everything he was accused of; yet, how could he when it was all true?

Great Is Your Reward

Only the Overcomer will be rewarded like this. It is more than unfortunate, it is regretfully grievous that a percentage of humanity will not receive this reward. Their reward for their unbelief is hell and the second death: thrown into the lake of fire. I do not want to see anyone there, whether I know them or not. I have a great love for my family and friends and wish only the best for them
But I cannot make you a Christian. I cannot make you love Jesus. I cannot make you a believer. I have seen 'inspirational' posters which claim that "God believes in you". Pits of hell lie. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God believes in you and that everything is going to be okay. Everything is not going to be okay. God knows our heart, that doesn't mean He believes in you. Why did the prophet Samuel bypass all of David's elder brothers? They were intelligent, handsome, strong men. Their heart was in the wrong place: their hearts were not right with God.
God rewards the faithful, the souls who overcome the temptation to be like everybody else. They who overcome great trials and tribulations to remain faithful to God in every aspect of their lives. It is not easy to be a Christian. We sacrifice our pleasures for what is pleasing to God. This is not to say that we don't have fun. We just don't disobey God to do it.
The wages of sin is death. The wages of righteousness is  eternal life. The only righteousness that God cares about is the righteousness of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. When that righteousness is on us, covering us completely, God sees His Son on us. His righteousness far outshines ours. You may think you are 'good enough' to enter heaven; that perhaps God will pat you on the back and say, "You tried your best, come on in." You are wrong. You will never be good enough to enter heaven on your righteousness:
Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

Without Jesus in your life now, the lake of fires is your destination later. There are no second chances after death. Noone can pray your soul out of hell after you die (Luke 16:26). There is no waiting place, no purgatory, no limbo. Your body will die once; your soul will die twice. You will know and be aware at all times of the qualities of the fire. We read in Luke 16:19-31 that the dead man in hell had all his senses and awareness: vs 23, he could see. vs 24, he can talk, he knows thirst, his soul is tormented in the flame and therefore his touch sensors are in overdrive, he begs for mercy. vs 25, he can hear. vs 26, he is made aware that it is impossible for any person to enter hell from heaven and vice versa. vs 27-31, nor will a person leave the comforts of heaven to warn others of  the coming disaster on unrighteous living. And there will be no relief. Ever.
I hear your disbelief that I would say such things. I feel your anger and your fear. But you know in your heart, that what I say is true, because the Word of God is Truth and Faithful. God keeps His promises. Every blessing, every reward, for faithfulness God gives to His children. Every curse, every punishment, for unfaithfulness God gives to those who refuse to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord of All, who refuse to believe on the Name of Jesus.
Only One Person would leave heaven willingly, and that Person is Jesus. He is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16). He is God (John 1:1). He took on the form of a person, and lived among us (John 1:14). This Person, Jesus Christ, came first to the Jews, to deliver the message of repentance and belief on His Name, but was rejected by many of them (Matthew 8:34; 11:20; 12:14; 13:54-58; 22:15-16, 23; 26:3,4, 14-16, 59, 67-68; 27; 28:11-15) There are many more references throughout the other three gospels of Christ being rejected by God's chosen people. Feel free to search the Bible for yourselves.
Acts 3:12-19 relates Peter's description of how the man he had just healed was healed. (vs12)"And when Peter saw it (how the crowds marvelled), he answered them, 'You men of Israel, why do you wonder at this (healing)? or why do you stare so intensely at us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? (vs13)The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. (vs14) But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; (vs15) And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
(vs16) And His Name through faith in His Name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is by Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (vs17) And now, brethren, I know that through ignorance you did it (denied the Christ), as did also your rulers. (vs18) But those things, which God before had showed by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He has so fulfilled. (vs19) Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."
Isn't this awesome stuff! we are reading? But see verse 23? Great is your reward if you do not believe on the Name of Jesus Christ. "And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people."
You see how the few have rule over the many in life. The leaders of that time wanted nothing to do with Jesus and they enforced their decision to deny Him by having Him beaten and viciously crucified.  The people's response then? Matthew 25:27 "His blood be on us, and on our children."
This blood, the blood which flowed from the beaten, broken, mutilated body of Christ was purchased for thirty pieces of silver. The blood of the Lamb of God, which God provided as an eternal atonement for the sins of the world (John 1:29). Though Satan thought to destroy Jesus through death, it is through life that the works of the devil are destroyed.
By overcoming temptation in the wilderness through the spoken Word of God, Jesus Christ showed us how to overcome temptation. By overcoming death and the grave, Jesus Christ became The Way for us to have eternal life through Him; thereby enabling the believers to overcome death and the grave. The overcomers will share in the rewards that Jesus Christ will render unto them. Why? Because the blood of Jesus Christ not only covers us so God can see us, but it washes away our sins and makes us clean and whole. We are a new person in Christ.
Which are you? Overcomer? Or unbeliever? On what do you base your stance for what you believe to be true? Are you willing to bet your life on it? Remember, the unbeliever will always ridicule, torture, imprison and/or kill the believer. I would rather go to jail for my faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, than have no faith and go to hell.
I am an overcomer. I am a believer. And, though I am anticipating the rewards I will be given, I am greatly anticipating seeing the Reward-Giver even more! I can't hardly wait to see Jesus face to face.

Great is my Reward

The Generation of The Lord

The Generation of the Lord

  • A chosen generation: 1 Peter 2:9
  • Who shall declare His generation? : Isaiah 53:8 & Acts 8:33
  • His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation: Luke 1:50
  • Generation of light: Luke 11:29-36 & Luke 16:8
  • God is in the generation of the righteous: Psalm 14:5
  • A generation of service by the will of God: Acts 13:36
  • Generation that fears the Lord: Psalm 22:23-31
  • Generation that is accounted to the Lord: Psalm 22:30
  • The generation that seeks Him, seeks His face: Psalm 24:6
  • We are the generation to come: Psalm 78:4, 6

~The word given me while praying after I read the Book of Ezra:
There is one generation and it is the generation of them who seek the Lord. Who seek Him, His laws and His statutes; that the Word of the Lord would be known and taught to those who do not know Him.
It is the generation of those who love the Lord; who love His Word and seek to do His will accordingly. We are that generation.
Not chronological, a generation of years; but spiritual, a generation of belief. Not calculated by time, but by faith: faith in the power of the Word of God.
It is the generation of them who seek His face; who desire to be in his presence. It is the generation of they who desire to obey His Word; who have counted the cost and are willing to pay it.
It is the generation of repentant hearts; those who humble themselves before God.
It is the generation of submission and surrender: submitting to God's Word and surrendering to God's will. For God is holy and nothing unholy can be in His presence. Darkness flees; for the light of God's glory fills our hearts and our minds. We submit our hearts to obedience, we obey His Word. We surrender our will and our desire to His will and His desire. Why? Because we are the generation of them who seek His face. ~

And, as I study after receiving this, I am made aware that this generation began in the beginning and will not cease until the end. It is the generation of believers in the Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days. He Who wrote the laws and desires our obedience in love.
This generation is a righteous generation, not of ourselves, but of the righteousness of Christ which is upon us. We wear Him like armor. We clothe ourselves in Him, for Christ is our Righteousness.
We are the generation that fear Him: revere and respect Him. He is Faithful and True; Redeemer and Friend. His love for His people shines through us: our eyes see Him and magnify Him to nations who do not know Him. We are the light that shines in the darkness: declaring the Word of the Lord to those who are hungry to hear and receive it.
This generation is a generation of servitude, not only to God and for God, but to God's people for God's glory. We do not seek to raise ourselves up, but to raise up the name of Jesus Christ, that the salvation of the Lord is at hand and reaching out to all. We praise the name of the Lord for He is gracious and slow to anger, longsuffering and merciful to those who call on His name. This generation works in the field of the Lord. His servants are few, but the work is great. Our hands are busy doing what needs to be done; our hearts are busy, seeking the salvation of the lost souls, in constant prayer for them.
We are the generation that loves with the love of the Lord. It is a love that transcends time and space. This love, the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, is for all people. With a love that shows mercy to all, regardless of ethnicity or generation of life. It is a love that forgives and forgives and forgives without number. God is righteous and just; His mercy endures forever. We exhibit that mercy; we forgive without number; we love without prejudice.
This generation is the Lord's generation. We are accounted to Him and accountable to Him. We are of Abraham's seed: we believe that what God says He will do He does. We believe God's Word is holy. We believe God's Word is true. We believe God's Word is faithful: time and time again He has proven just how much He loves us. This generation multiplies to the number of the stars and the sands of the sea shore (Genesis 22:17).
We are the chosen generation. We are called out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9); to shine forth the Light of Christ. He designates us a royal priesthood: serving Him in His house, breaking bread with His people, worshiping wholeheartedly and with great joy. Praying for the needs of His people and the salvation of the lost souls.
As His chosen generation, we are a holy nation. And as such, we are to live a life of abstinence from lust (v. 11), speak honestly (v. 12), submit to the laws of the land (v. 13,14) for the Lord's sake. Living freely in God's service (v. 16). Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king (authority) (v. 17).
This generation is called to suffer (18-25). With Christ as our example, this generation is to be obedient unto God by following Jesus' attitude when it came to being obedient unto death (1 Corinthians 4:10-14; 2 Corinthians 1:5; Philippians 1:5). Happy is the generation that partakes of the sufferings of Christ (1 Peter 4:13, 14). Blessed are the persecuted for His sake: great is their reward (Matthew 5:10-12). The entire chapter of 1 Peter 4 emphasizes what has been laid out in this message: in order to be named in this generation, the generation of the Lord, we are to live the life Christ lived: follow in His way and obey His Word, choosing to suffer for His sake and reaping the glory which God will reveal in His time.
We are a generation of prophets, teachers, evangelists, preachers, apostles;miracle-workers, healers, governments, tongues and interpreters, helpers (1 Corinthians 12:28). We are a generation of servant leaders. We follow Jesus Christ and we lead people to Christ, which makes us both followers and leaders. This is my generation.

Jigsaw

I Found the Answer Down on My Knees

Whether we are hurting from a broken heart or a broken relationship, seeking God's love and direction is the only place to go.

Prayer, from a sincere heart, truly does change things. And the first thing that gets changed is us. God changes us from the inside out. First, He changes our heart. His touch is gentle, but firm. As His fingers reattach the broken pieces of our heart, each piece is gently blown on, to remove dust and dirt; then He wipes that piece clean and sets it in its place. First one, then another.
And before long, we begin to recognize the change within ourselves that is taking place. We forgive offenses more easily, instead of retaliating. And though the actions of others sadden us, these actions on their part no longer prevent us from moving forward in God's grace. That grudge we have carried for so long that we felt only the weight without remembering the why, we have finally set down at the cross and left it there permanently.

As God casts His gaze in the direction of the next jigsaw piece of our heart, the blood of Christ covers it, the Holy Spirit fixes it, and God is able to attach it to the first piece. When our heart is mended and fixed on God, then God is able to move on to the next part of us that we are surrendering to His will. For our bodies are not just one organ or member, but many such make up the whole.     ANATOMY

By surrendering our hearts to Christ, and making a confession of faith out loud, we have taken the necessary step in accepting salvation of our souls through Jesus Christ. But God desires more of us, not just part of us. However, God does not force Himself in any way on people. He is just and fair and will only accept from us what we are willing to give. So before He can change us, we have to willingly give up, or surrender, that part of us that we want Him to have.

Romans 12:1 But I beg you, my brethren (brothers and sisters in Christ), by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

I want more of God in me, in my life. I choose to surrender my body a living sacrifice, on a day to day basis, surrendering (setting aside what I want) my will and willing to be transformed (allowing what He wants) into who God wants me to be.

WHY I WALK
"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace;  that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, your God reigns." Isaiah 52:7

"And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15
"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who preach the Gospel of Peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" Romans 10:15

WHERE I WALK
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me;

My Full Potential

If the life you are living is not pleasing to God,

then you are not living up to your full

potential. ~Me

What do you see
when you look at me?
Am I a reflection
of God's redeeming grace?
What do you see
on my face?

Am I living up to my full potential in Christ?
My heart is right with Christ.
I am saved from eternal damnation.
I am filled with the Holy Ghost.
I am serving in God's kingdom.

Tomorrow, March 8, is International Women's Day.
It is a celebration of how far women have come in the history of the world.
It is an acknowledgement  of how much women have accomplished in their countries.
It is an awareness of the lack of women in business and industry;
of women in politics and science; of women in leadership positions.
The Day is focused on Women Around the World
and their desire to improve their world
by having women involved in decision making processes
that would change the world for the better.
But, in all the articles I have read, from around this world I live in,
not one is written from a Christian woman's perspective.
Though a few were written by women, most articles were still written by men.
And a couple of these articles were dehumanizing to women.

Where are the daughters of God?
I am the handmaid of the Lord. ~Joel 2:29
Our voice is not silent:
In Ministry:

The daughters of God are actively seeking to improve the lives of all women.
We are joined at the heart in Spirit and in Truth.
We are raising our voice in shouts of Triumph..
Our hands are on our Sword as we wage war on
social injustice, poverty, abuse, addiction.
We are the Overcomers by Faith in the Power of God
to change our world one person at a time together.
We learn from each other.
We teach each other.
Our desire to change the world we live in is expressed by our actions every day.
As we learn from God, through the power of His Holy Spirit,
how to change our lives, we share our values, our journeys,
our joys, our wisdom, our tears and our pain,
our words reach millions on the internet.
And their lives are changed for the better.

God empowers women by calling them, also.
We, too, are called to serve in God's kingdom.
I am His servant.
And I will change the world.
