There Is Power In The Name of Jesus

John 1:12,13 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on His Name. --Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD.” Power To TRANSFORM

John 1:29 “The next day John seeth JESUS coming unto him, and saith, Behold THE LAMB OF GOD, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Power to REMOVE SIN

John 1:36,37 “And looking upon JESUS as he walked, he saith, Behold THE LAMB OF GOD. And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed JESUS.” Power to LEAD

John 1:42 “And he brought him to JESUS. And when JESUS beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.” Power to CHANGE

John 2:6-11

“And there were set there six waterpots of stone,

after the manner of the purifying of the Jews,

containing two or three firkins apiece (20 to 30 gallons).

John 2:18-22 "Then answered the Jews and said unto Him, What sign can You show us to prove Your authority in doing these things (read verses 12-17 to see what Jesus had done to provoke this question)? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will You raise it up in three days? But He spoke of the temple of His body. When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and The Word which Jesus had said." Power to RESURRECT

John 3:14-17, 36 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (36) He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. Power to SAVE

When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die. Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.” “Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.” “Go,” said Jesus. “Your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed. 51And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive. So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour." Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed. Power to HEAL

TeHillah

I wrote this three years past. Though it is called “The Healing Song”, it has a subtitle, too; I call it “Kaley’s Song”. The Lord laid her on my mind one morning and this is what I was given.


Everyone goes through something, sometime. Some of us hike hills and cross valleys; some mountain climb, some cliff dive. Some paddle rapids, while others doggie-paddle, just barely keeping their heads above water. Some paths are narrower in places, some paths are foot-beaten, where others have walked before.

As the man at Solomon’s Porch said, in John 5:1-18, “Every time the angel troubles the water, someone gets there before I do.” But The Healer was speaking with this man. And The Healer healed him. His path intersected with Jesus’ path; his life was changed for ever. God is God and though He Himself does not change, He is One Who changes everything.

The word TeHillah means “laud, hymn”. Jeremiah 17:14, the word praise is rendered from the Hebrew word TeHillah: Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for Thou art my praise. Deuteronomy 10:21 He Is Thy Praise, and He Is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things which thine eyes have seen. Again, Praise here is TeHillah.

 We who fear The LORD sing to The LORD. We sing praises, thanksgiving, love, hope, faith. We glorify our God with the songs of our hearts. Because we are one in Christ, we sing in harmony and not discord. Christ is our Song.

IAM HAS HEALED ME IN HIS NAME!

So, this song is for everyone who is hurting, whether in body or mind, your Healer is ready to heal you. All you have to do is cry out to Jesus and reach for His hand. 

Healed in Jesus' Name - Part Two

Do not claim the sickness or sicknesses which attack your body. Do not say “my disease, disorder, illness”; that is a proprietary phrase claiming ownership over. We are sick, but we do not have sickness: sickness is attacking us. And what do we do when we are attacked? We fight back!

I have been fighting back using worship, praise, thanksgiving, Scripture and prayer. There is no right order for using these weapons to fight against that which would destroy our bodies, our minds and our spirits.

Yes, we may occasionally forget and say “my” but we can correct ourselves by asking The Holy Spirit to remind us. Being the good friend He is, He will. He does.

I am healed in Jesus’ Name. The Name which is above all names. ALL names. Names of diseases. Names of sicknesses. Names of disorders. Above the names of mental disease or mental defect. It is the Name Above All Names which heals those who want to be healed.

I choose Jesus. JEHOVAH-ROPHE = THE LORD MY HEALER.

Did you know that the color yellow in the Bible is the color for healing? Think of when you bang your shin on the coffee table and this magnificent bruise begins to form. First it is a darkish purple, almost black. Then blue and red. Then yellow. Yellow is the last color of the bruise to be visible on our bodies. And then the bruise is gone.

Isaiah 53:5 tells us that JESUS was bruised for our iniquities. John 19:1 JESUS was scourged, or flogged, if you will. In verse 2, a crown of thorns was put on his head. In verse 3 the soldiers beat him with their hands. You think his body was bruised from that? Mark 15:16-20 describes the mock worship and beating he received at the hands of the soldiers. Not just a few, either. A whole band, the Word says; the group of soldiers assigned to the military governor.

Beaten, bruised, flogged, crucified. That’s my Jesus. He was crushed in spirit and body. The sins of the world weighed heavily upon him. He who had done no wrong would now be punished for the wrongs of the world. From Eve’s sin to the sins of this generation and the next, Jesus would die. His blood is on me.

That whipping He received in the Pretorium (courtyard) that day healed me. Isaiah 53:5 With his stripes we are healed. I believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son. I believe that I am healed in His Name.

Bless that wonderful Name of Jesus !

Healed in Jesus' Name - Part One

I have been studying and memorizing healing Scriptures, as I travel this journey with my Savior. I know that by His stripes I am healed. No longer do I say, “I have a sickness.” It is that sickness is upon me. But I declare by The Word of God that I am healed in Jesus’ Name.

Did you know that there is power in The Name of Jesus? His Name is Strong-Mighty, as read in Psalm 24:8 = ‘Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.” Here His Name is JEHOVAH-’IZOA HAKABOTH - THE LORD STRONG AND MIGHTY.

Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth, And the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” JEHOVAH-TSORI - THE LORD MY STRENGTH, MY REDEEMER.

Psalm 18:2 “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, In whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” This verse alone gives us quite a few of His Names. First we see Jesus is our Rock: JEHOVAH-SEL’I = THE LORD MY ROCK. Second, Jesus is our Fortress: JEHOVAH-METSHODHATHI = THE LORD MY FORTRESS. Third, Jesus is our Deliverer: JEHOVAH-MEPHALTI = THE LORD MY DELIVERER.

What else are you noticing in each of this Names? He is a PERSONAL GOD. When it comes to relationships, this one is Priority One. Christ desires a personal relationship with each one of us. We seek Him out on an individual basis: each one of us, at some point in our lives, has asked God not only if He is real, but does He care about me? And we discover that yes, God is real; yes, He cares about the individual. He cares so much about each one of us that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for us. Would you do that?

THE LORD THE HORN OF MY SALVATION = JEHOVAH-KEREN-YISH’I. THE LORD MY HIGH TOWER = JEHOVAH-MISQABBI. Names of strength. Who else could save us from eternal damnation? Nobody but Jesus. Where else could we go in times of trouble or struggle? Nowhere but to Jesus. Where could we hide when all seem to be against us? Only in Jesus.

While The Book of Psalms is filled with many revealing Scriptures showing us who Christ is, it is not the only book of The Bible to do so. These may not seem like healing verses either, but I go where The Spirit leads, and I want to see what He is going to do.

In Psalm 18:2 David refers to God as ‘buckler’. A buckler is a shield. From here we are led to Deuteronomy 33:29 “Happy are thou, O Israel: Who is like unto thee, O people saved by The Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! And thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; And thou shalt tread upon their high places.” Cross referenced with Genesis 15:1 “After these things The Word of The Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, “Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”

Did you see that? Jesus came to Abram. And spoke to him, revealing Himself to Abram in a vision. The Word of The Lord is one of Christ’s Names. Where God is revealed by Name, He says, “I AM”. “I AM THY SHIELD.” JEHOVAH-MAGEN = THE LORD MY SHIELD. The phrasing used here can be translated as either ‘shield’ or ‘sovereign’. Shield means King. KING JESUS rules, protects and leads His people under a banner of Love. A love like no other love. An all-encompassing, unconditional love. We don’t do anything to earn it. This love cannot be bought, nor can it be sold. The Lord is my King.

My King died for me. For my perfect healing. Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; And with His stripes we are healed.” JEHOVAH-ROPHE = THE LORD MY HEALER.

The difference between wounds and bruises? Wounds penetrate the body; bruises are the visual effect of broken blood vessels beneath the skin. My King allowed Himself to be viciously attacked in this manner. Although He knew great pain and agony would come upon Him, He surrendered to God’s will in this matter. He obeyed His Father and took these punishments in our stead. His pain, my gain. Wounded, bruised, chastised....for me. And for you.

But it didn’t end there.
