In Jesus' Name-Lord of the Earth

  JEHOVAH-ADON KAL HA'ARETS
LORD of the earth

And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of The Lord, The Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above: and they shall stand upon a heap. Joshua 3:13

[ This is the second time that God parted the waters. See? Some of you thought there was only one time, when God parted the waters of the Red Sea for Moses and the children of Israel to cross over after leaving Egypt (Exodus 14:15-22). ]

When we sign off in prayer, we say, "In Jesus' Name. Amen". What are we really saying? Do you know Jesus' Name? Do you pray with understanding? Do you say those words because your Bible tells you to? John 14:13 "And whatsoever things you ask in My Name, that will I do, that The Father may be glorified in The Son. If you will ask any thing in My Name, I will do it." But remember, when you ask God, you must ask according to God's will and purpose. James 4:3 "You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts." Whether it is the lust of wealth, or power or any selfish desire, that prayer will not be answered by God. If you get what you have prayed for in that category, it is not God who gave it to you: it is the god of this earth, who desires your destruction, your eternal destruction. But God desires your salvation, your eternal life and the life you live now, is at stake here.

What is Jesus' Name? To pray without understanding is to pray without wisdom and knowledge. And while you may have a little more knowledge now, using that knowledge and putting it to application are two different things. One is having the knowledge, the other is having wisdom.

You repeat what you have heard. You say the words, but what do they mean? What are you thinking when you pray? What are you seeing when you sing? A name has meaning and structure. A name describes, reveals and defines. A name is given to every thing and person. Some people are given more than one name at birth; some have a middle name, connecting their first name with their last; some have more than one middle name, to honor the family names. But Jesus. Mm. Love the wonderful name of Jesus. He has many names. And each of those names means something. You will never pray the same way again as you have done before you read this.

In Jesus' Name is power. Power to create, JEHOVAH-BARA, Lord Creator: Geneses 1:26 "..and God said, Let us...". He wasn't talking to Himself the way we talk to ourselves. He was talking to Jesus and The Holy Spirit. Wherever One goes the Others are. John 1:1-5 "In The Beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God. The Same was In The Beginning With God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was Life; and The Life was The Light of men. And The Light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Isn't that just the awesomest section of Scripture?

Power to destroy, Genesis 6:5-8 describes how God felt when He looked out upon the earth and saw the wickedness of men's hearts and the evil they did everywhere. Of all the generations of mankind upon the face of the earth at that time, only 1 man was found to have grace in God's sight. And that man was Noah. Of the many, only one man and his family: his wife, his 3 sons and their wives; these 8 plus the thousands of animals, the food each required and water to drink and bathe were kept safe in the ark that Noah and his sons built over the course of 120 years, were all that were saved when God first destroyed the earth.  JEHOVAH-NAHEH, Lord Who Smites.
The second time God destroys the earth entirely will be when He destroys it with fire: 2 Peter 3, specifically v7. but read the whole chapter. Before this happens, every man, woman and child living on the earth will have heard the gospel preached or shared with them at least once. Each of us will have been given, at least once, an opportunity to accept that Jesus Christ is Lord, that He is The Only Begotten Son of God. For now, we live in a time of grace. A time where all sins are forgiven because Christ has died for all the sins of the world. A time where those who call on The Name of the Lord shall be saved JEHOVAH-HOSHE'AH, Lord Saves.

Power to procreate: Genesis 9:1 God tells Noah and his sons to repopulate the earth. In verses 9-17, God promises to never again flood the whole earth and never to destroy again every creature or person with a flood such as had just happened. To signify His promise, He placed His bow in the cloud. Every animal and person leaving the ark, had the commandment by God to multiply and replenish the earth. And the promise of God then was to "your seed after you". That's us. God's promise stands true even now. Though many places see floods, floods do not cover the whole earth. But people do.

Power to judge JEHOVAH-HASHOPET, The Lord My Judge: Genesis 3 tells us of Adam and Eve's downfall and why they left the Garden of Eden. This is the first judgment. It is because they disobeyed God and went against His Word that He gave them. They ate the fruit growing on the Tree of Knowledge and were removed from their places in the garden. In their shame, they tried to cover the result of their sins with leaves sewn together. But this was not enough. Death came to the garden because of their sin: God chose an animal and killed it, using the skins of the animal to cover the sins of Adam and Eve.
Because of this man's sin against God, sin entered into the whole world. But because of Christ, who took on the sins of the whole world, from the beginning of time to the end of time, grace entered into the world. It is the blood of Jesus that covers the sins. It is the righteousness of Christ that God sees when He sees the blood on us. This blood, the blood of the Lamb of God, which takes away the sins of the world, is on me, because Jesus has redeemed me and I belong to Him now: JEHOVAH-GO'EL, The Lord My Redeemer. In Adam's day, he could talk face to face with God. But because of his sin, he lost that privilege. God had to seek out men after that; no longer could He speak with them individually. And men, who wanted to know God, sought God and God made Himself known. He still makes Himself known to all who seek Him. I sought God and He turned to me and made Himself known. And the closer we get, the more He is revealed to me.
Genesis 18 and 19 tells us of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. These cities were destroyed because God had judged them after they refused to turn from their wicked ways, which were evil in the sight of God. One man among them lived there with his wife and family. And though he was a righteous man, he was the only righteous man there.
Imagine two cities right next to each other in the plains. Business goes on as usual. Couples marry and divorce. Children are born. But the days for these cities are drawing to an end. Though the sun continues to shine, it is forever dark there: the evil and the darkness of mens' hearts prevents the light from piercing into them. Alleyways and dark corners see more business than Walmart ever will. The lust of the flesh needs to be met. What the eye sees, the head wants and the heart grows more evil, for when the lust of one thing is fulfilled, it is not satisfied and more, more, more is the cry of wickedness. More destruction, more wickedness, more death.
In Genesis 18, Abraham and God have a conversation. About Sodom and Gomorrah. Because Abraham's nephew Lot lived there, Abraham did not want him to die. So, on behalf of all the people in both cities, Abraham pleaded with God for them not to be destroyed. Through out the course of their conversation, it finally came down to 10. IF ten righteous people could be found in either Sodom or Gomorrah, then these cities would not be destroyed.
Thousands of people, in two cities, and only one man was found and his name was Lot. The angels, emissaries of God, came to Lot and told him to bring his family out of Sodom and into safety. But the men to whom his daughters were married laughed in his face. As they were leaving the city, Lot's wife turned back to see the destruction of her friends. For her disobedience her judgement was instantaneous: she was turned to salt, a pillar of salt she became.
They had years to repent of their wickedness. Lot lived among them and must have told them repeatedly in all the years he lived there, how that they must repent of their unrighteous acts and obey God. But none listened. God will make Himself known to all before He judges us. Genesis 23, 24 tells us that at sunrise of the day of destruction, "The Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from The Lord out of heaven.." Every living creature: animal, plant, person was destroyed in both cities. A volcano did not suddenly erupt and destroy these cities. That's a lie. God destroyed them with His fire from heaven.
vs 28 says when Abraham got up early in that morning back to the place where he and God had conversed, smoke lay over the country 'as the smoke of a furnace'. The smoke of a furnace is nasty. It blisters, it burns, it chokes. Abraham was far enough away that he was safe from the effects of such smoke, but he could see it. You and I will be far enough away from the effects of destruction, but we will see it. If we are under the blood of The Lamb, Jesus. JEHOVAH-YASHA, The Lord My Savior.

    In Jesus' Name we pray.
Jesus' Name is Lord of the earth.
Jesus' Name is Lord Creator.
Jesus' Name is Lord Who Smites.
Jesus' Name is Lord Saves.
Jesus' Name is The Lord My Judge.
Jesus' Name is The Lord My Redeemer.
Jesus' Name is The Lord My Savior.

Amen.

Updates

The previous lengthy study, Little Pieces of Clay: Making  A Christian, ended abruptly. While drafting it, I had 13 seperate studies outlined. However, I do believe that God has ended that study with only 9. And when God ends something, there is no going back. It's done.

While in the middle of Questions, I have begun another study, which will begin immediately following this update on Monday, August 25, 2012. I hope you have enjoyed our previous discussions. Remember, if you don't want your comments or questions made public, you can always email me. Do not email me with requests for money. I will report you and block you.

You may use my studies in your church or Bible Studies. You may share what I have shared with you. You may comment, email or contact me via facebook, where these are shared also.

Get ready. We are digging our heels in and getting ready to dig into God's Word a little deeper.

The Healing Song-TeHillah

This song I wrote this morning, when The Lord Our God woke me up and brought me outside. At first I thought it was just for my healing, but I know people who go through different challenges than I do.
My friend Kaley is 5 years old and is Type 1 Diabetes. She was given the phrase "I am healed from the top of my head to the sole of my feet", perhaps when she heard another say it; but she claimed it for herself. I have several friends who suffer from either Type 1 or Typ2 Diabetes. Friends of mine have gone, are going or will go through some form of chemo after being diagnosed with various cancers. Some friends received their perfect healing when they saw Jesus as they lay dying. Some of my friend have OA, Fm, Alopecia, CRPS, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Autism. Sometimes an illness can be undiagnosed for years before the knowledge to recognize it and begin to cure it is given to us.
Some of us hike up hills and cross valleys; some hike mountains and dive off cliffs. Some paddle rapids and some doggie-paddle, just barely keeping their heads above water. Some paths are narrower in places, some paths are footbeaten, where others have walked before. As the man at Solomon's Porch said, in John 5:1-18 "Every time the angel troubles the water, someone gets there before I do." But The Healer was speaking with this man. And The Healer healed him. His path intersected with Jesus' path; his life was changed forever. God is God and though He Himself does not change, He is One Who changes everything. Come. Come near the water and meet The Healer.

THE HEALING SONG
TeHillah

I am healed          in Jesus' Name
I am healed         from my pain
From the top of my head
to the sole of my feet
I am healed, I am healed
In Jesus' Name.

In my mind         in my heart
God is working         on every part
I can see         I can run
I am here         in Jesus' Name.

From the top of my head
to the sole of my feet
I am healed, I am healed
In Jesus' Name.

I am healed         in Jesus' Name
I am healed         from my pain
No more needles        no more pricks
No more diabetes          I'm not sick
From the top of my head
to the sole of my feet
I am healed, I am healed
In Jesus' Name!

In my mind         in my heart
God is working         on every part
From the top of my head
to the soles of my feet
I am healed, I am healed
In Jesus' Name!

All my praise          For His glory
Sings my heart         a brand new song
I can fly         I can dance
So fast I spin          with open hands
In my heart there lives a Man
His Name is Jesus. Jesus Christ.

I am healed, I am healed
In Jesus' Name--
In Jesus' Name is all power!
In Jesus' Name is all time
A thousand years is but a day
And from the grave I've been raised
I am healed in Jesus' Name
I am healed from my pain
No more sorrow          no more tears
Nor more pleading nights          no fears
All my loved ones, my enemies, too
Have been healed, Through and through
Inside out, no more upside down
A new heart          A new life
They see Jesus        in a New Light.

I am healed         in Jesus' Name!
I am healed          from my pain
From the top of my head
to the soles of my feet
I am healed! I am healed!
In Jesus' Name!

All my praise         for His glory
Sings my heart         a brand new song
I can fly        I can dance
So fast I twirl         with open hands
In my heart         there lives a Man-
His Name is Jesus, Jesus Christ.
Lord and Savior of my life!
He called my name          like none before
And I saw myself           laid on the floor
A tinkling bell          began to ring
And with surprise         I heard me sing:
All Hail The King
The King of Kings
Hail King Jesus
Of You I sing
Though You slay me,
I am Yours
You choose to heal me
O My Lord
For this I sing:
You are my Praise!

I am healed, I am healed
In Jesus' Name!
From the top of my head
to the sole of my feet
I am healed         I am healed
In Jesus Name
IAM HAS HEALED ME IN HIS NAME!

Wrapped

This ballad of worship and love for The Lord Our God came to me in the wee hours of the morning today, somewhere between 2 and 3:30 AM, after which my body melted into my bed and I could not have moved unless the earth had moved me first.

WRAPPED

1) I have joy in my journey
I have strength because of You
I have peace passing understanding
Cause I have Jesus here with me

-chorus-
I never saw the rain
Never heard the storm
Till I saw The Son
When I felt the warmth
Never saw the clouds
Congregate above
Till I found myself
Wrapped in arms of love

2) There's so much to see
When our eyes are opened
To The Holy Spirit
Who aligns our hearts with God.
-chorus-
I never saw the rain
Never heard the storm
Till I saw The Son
When I felt the warmth
Never saw the clouds
Congregate above
Till I found myself
Wrapped in arms of love

3) Through the power of You, Spirit,
I have come to understand
That a life without You in it,
Is a life of much demand.
-chorus-
I never saw the rain
Never heard the storm
Till I saw The Son
When my face was warm
Neve saw the clouds
Congregate above
Till I found my self
Wrapped in arms of love

1st Bridge
Having seen The Light
I can see the dark
Having gained the courage
I can build the ark
For my family
To enter in and rest
From the fire of wrath
That is sure to come
When our Lord has taken
All His family home.

-2nd chorus-

I never heard the rain
Never saw the storm
Never saw the clouds
Congregate my harm
Heard the warning cries
Saw the church arise

Out of the dark She came
To set the captives free
To bind the brokenhearted
Cause the blind to see
To open up the prison doors
And let The Light shine in
To preach good tidings to the meek
To declare The Lord's return
To appoint Zion's mourners
In the City of their God
Giving gifts which Christ had giv'n her
For just such this cause:
Beauty instead of ashes
Joyous Oil instead of grief
To take away their heavy hearts
And replace them with clothes of praise
She gives Her Lord and Savior
Glory by Her actions
Glory by Her Love
Glory by Her boldness and
He is glorified above

and She sings

I am wrapped in arms of glory
I'm a Church whose God is great!
I'm the one He came to rescue
From the mire and the grave
I'm the one He calls to gently
In the garden where I pray
I'm the one He holds close to Him
When He wipes my tears away
I'm the one He bends an ear to
When I whisper words of Love
I'm a Church whose Cornerstone
Is Chiefest of all
He's the One that was rejected
Giving self for us all!

Wrapped in His Love
I am wrapped in His Love
Sweet Holy Spirit
You have wrapped me in His Love
Sweet Holy Spirit
You have wrapped me in
His
      Love

This took me a little over two weeks to fully study out, make notes and then type out. And I found several other little studies along the way. You can't go for a walk in the woods and not bring home a souvenir or two, which you have tucked away in your pockets. That is how it is when I read my Bible, lots of interesting things in it that get stored in the back of my mind, to simmer and stir on the back burner of my heart; to bring out when fully ready to be ladled out and shared among the hungry.
I love to study my Bible. I can't just read it all the way through now without stopping to note at least one or ten things in my notebook. When you begin to read and study your Bible in this way, you, too, will want to know more, you will be just as hungry, maybe hungrier for what God is saying to you. This is my meat and bread. I hunger less for people food and more for God's food. It is more satisfying, more filling, and gives me the strength I need to do the task of the day which He sets before me.
Be blessed; I am. As always, feel free to use anything on this site that God has laid on your heart.

The Testimony of Israel

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~
Psalm 122
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of The Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Where the tribes go up, the tribes of The Lord, unto The Testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto The Name of The Lord. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of The Lord our God I will seek thy good.

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~

The house of the Lord is Jerusalem, the city of God. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, that those who live within her walls would be safe in the arms of God. There are several gates, one of which remains closed even yet. It is called the Golden Gate, or Mercy Gate. It faces the Mount of Olives on the Eastern side of the Old City. Tradition says The Messiah will enter Jerusalem through this gate. So the muslims who lived under the rule of Suleiman closed it off to prevent His entrance.

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~

The Testimony of Israel is the Manna. The Ark contained the Manna, to remember how God provided the Bread of Heaven to feed His people in the wilderness after He delivered them out of the hands of Egypt. The Manna is sweet and sustaining, tasting like coriander seed, which today is used in the making of sweet breads and desserts. It had to be crushed to be used.

That Manna, the Bread of Heaven, is Jesus Christ. John 6:47-51-Truly, truly I say to you, He that believes on Me has everlasting life. IAM that Bread of Life. Your fathers did eat Manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the Bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof and not die. IAM the Living Bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever: and the Bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~

The Testimony of Israel is Jesus Christ, The Messiah. He left heaven for us once and will do so again when God tells Him to go. Though Christ was present at the creation of the world, His birth in a stable in Bethlehem was the first time He came in fleshly form. He left His glory at home when He came to witness, to testify of God, of The New Covenant: Himself. The Testimony of Israel was honored in the Old Testament as divine grace. The Testimony of Israel in the New Testament was rejected by the Israelites. They did not believe Jesus was the Son of God and crucified Him.

But that's why He came. Jesus Christ ministered divine grace while He walked here. His first words, after He left the wilderness where Satan tempted Him, were Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. For where Jesus is, God is. Where Jesus is, is where Jesus lives, therefore when a person repents of their sins, Jesus is able to live in that person by faith. Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand (nearby, close).

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~

We are still living in New Testament times. Though our days are happening 2,000 years after Christ's death and resurrection, The Word of God still speaks to us today. And today may be all we have, for tomorrow is not promised us. That is why God tells us that Today is the Day of Salvation. Waiting until tomorrow is not a good idea, because we might now have tomorrow. As you and I know, anything can happen between now and tomorrow. For the times we live in are filled with war, disease, blatant immorality disguised as law, violent unbelievers who rule with fear and hate. Today is your Day of Salvation. Today is your day to believe on Jesus Christ as The Lord and Savior of your life. Regardless of how long your life is.

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~

I am not a threat to you or your way of life. Oh wait, yes I am. Through the power of the Living Word of God, I am able to bring you the messages of God when He tells me to go. And He tells me everyday, as in the Book of Mark, "Go you into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be damned." Belief in Jesus Christ is necessary for the salvation of your eternal soul. Belief determines destination.

Repentance of sins is to turn your back on your old way of life and surrender your will to God's will for your new life.

Baptizm is a public statement of belief. We are telling the world that we are buried with Christ and raised into a new life in Christ.

I pray for each of you. Your names are in my heart and in God's ears. But for you to accept Christ, you must pray also. Acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. Turn your back on your sinfulness and give your life to God. Accept God's mercy and forgiveness of your sins. Praise The Lord. Give thanks with a grateful heart:

O give thanks unto The Lord, for His mercy endures forever ~
