Arming The Spiritual Warrior -- Watch & Pray

1 Thessalonians 5:10
He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.

HE DIED FOR US
Matthew 20:28
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

John 10:11
I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

WATCH & PRAY
To be awake in this dark, and getting darker, world is to be watching and praying, in the night, through the dark hours.
To be awake in the light in this dark world is to be serving the Lord with joy and wisdom. It is a joy that emanates from our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Psalm 119:148
My eyes anticipate the watches of night, that I may meditate on Your word.
Psalm 63:6
When I remember You on my bed, I think of You through the watches of the night.
Psalm 119:55
In the night, O LORD, I remember Your name, that I may keep Your law.
 Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the flesh weak."

1 Thessalonians 15, 17
By the Word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep.
After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:11
This is a trustworthy saying: If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He will also deny us.

ALIVE WITH CHRIST
Romans 14:8, 9
If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
For this reason Christ died and returned to life, that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
