I Am Christian's Heart

ROMANS 10:10

For it is by believing, in your heart. that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

I am Christian's heart: in me lives The Word of God.

1 John 4:15
All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.

I am Christian's heart and The Word declares that I am wise: Ecclesiastes 7:4 "The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure." A wise heart tells people about Jesus and His gospel of saving grace.
Proverbs 11:30 "
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise."
1 Corinthians 9:19 "Though I am free of obligation to anyone, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible."

I am Christian's heart and The Word tells me that I am broken: Psalm 34:18 "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit (repentant heart)."
Psalm 51:17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise."

I am Christian's heart and I have hidden His Word in me: Psalm 119:10-11 "With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments. Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You." I am hid in God's heart, too. John 17:20-21 "Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; That they all may be one; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that You have sent Me."

I am Christian's heart. In me and through me the love of God moves. I am able to love like God because The Love of God lives in me: It thrives because I feed It with adoration and worship. I can love people because I love God and He loves me. He chose me to live in. 1 John 4:7-11
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; an devery one that loves is born of God, and knows God.
He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested (revealed) The Love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him (John 3:16-17).
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."
I am Christian's heart. Jesus Christ called me to open my door and let Him enter into me. Just like He's calling you to open the door of your hearts and let Him live in you, too: Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if anyone hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in to them, and will sup with them, and they with me."

I Am Christian - The Weight of A Good Name - Part Two

My name is Christian. My name is my reputation. My name is bound in Christ's Name for it is Christ I am named for. I am a person of honor and integrity. My word is my bond. When I say I will do this or that, I mean it. When I make a promise, I keep it. I am not perfect. I will fail. I will fall. But I will persevere through it all.

Though I contend with they who come against me to destroy me, I will not hate them. For I am filled with the Love of God: Jesus Christ. God loves. God loves all people everywhere. It is this great Love of God for a dying world that caused Him to send His only begotten Son Jesus Christ into the dying world. And this great Love of God LIVES IN ME, CHRISTIAN! So, I love with the Love of God.

I am a troubleshooter, a peacekeeper. I walk in the Wisdom of The LORD, for I am filled with His precious Holy Spirit, Who leads me through The Word of God and reveals God's intentions for me. In this Wisdom, I am compelled to share Christ with everyone I meet, wherever I am. My name is Christian and I will accomplish the tasks which God has prepared for me.

Though at times it may seem to myself or those watching me that I get very little to nothing done, it is God Who determines what has been accomplished in me and through me. Only God knows where His Word will go through my actions. Only God knows who will receive it and who will dismiss it. It is my privilege and my honor to serve Him in this capacity. It is also my job. I am a laborer in His field. My name is Christian, my name is Worker.

In my walk with Christ, I am a fellow laborer. I do not work alone. I do not study alone. I do not pray alone. I do not speak alone. I do not cry alone. I do not walk alone. I do live my life on my own terms but on Christ's terms. I do not rest alone. I do not read alone. And when I leave this world, I will not leave alone. My name is Christian. One way or another when I leave here, I'm going with Him. Whether I leave in death or leave at His return, I'm going with my Fellow Laborer.

My name is Christian. It is not a name I bear lightly. Heavy is this weight upon my shoulder. There is responsibility in being Christian. I must find out what it means to be Christian and live that life. I read my Bible out loud for my "faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God". I delve into my Bible and study out what God wants me to know on a regular basis. For I must have The Word built up in me for such a time as when I cannot get my hands on a Bible, that The Holy Spirit may draw from within me the Strength of The Word, the Power of The Word, and pour it out upon the ears of they who will hear it, whether they receive It or not, I must have The Word in me. My name is Christian and I am Student, I am Studier.

I am the well, the cistern, in which The Water of Life dwells and flows through. I am Christian and I have set my face like flint. I feel it every time I study and remain focused on what The Spirit tells me to say. I hear what my King wants me to hear and I choose to obey. I am Christian and my name is Obedient. I neither grumble nor complain. Though the work in His field is hard, it is not impossible. The whip of self-righteousness and ignorance falls across my back and I forgive.  For I am Christ's servant: it is for Him I will suffer, for His glory is only increased.

My life is not my own. Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in The Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me."

I Am Christian-The Weight of A Good Name

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Proverbs 22:1
I AM CHRISTIAN

I've been blessed with so many studies over these past few years I wasn't sure what I would be doing or where I would be going in The Word at the end of this year and into the beginning of the next. After pondering this for some time now ( it is why the studies have been few lately), The Spirit brought to mind an old Reader's Digest story line called I Am Joe's Body and it talked about how Joe's anatomy worked. Was really well written by J.D. Ratcliff and became one of their most popular series. I still remember reading it even now.
This series is about the body of Christ. And to day I'm talking about her name. For the body of Christ is the church, the bride. A bride is always a her. When the bride joins with the Bridegroom the two become one and none can tear them apart or break asunder their bonds of love.
I am Christian. A name once spoken in mockery to the first followers of Christ: His disciples and those who believed the gospel message they spoke. The early Greeks and Romans labeled the believers as such and the name has stuck through a couple thousand years now. We are still held in contempt by the unbelieving person. But as long as we remain faithful to the full gospel message of the cross and the resurrection, our witness will remain strong and our name will be bound in Christ's name.
I am Christian. I live my life in the Way of Holiness, sometimes stumbling but always getting back up to continue moving forward, not looking back with regret but learning from past experiences that my faith may grow. I don't need to see the whole picture: I just need to hold The Artist's hand and believe The Maker's Voice. If I ever see the whole picture, it will be from the realms of glory. But if I never see the whole picture which God is putting together, I'm good with that, too. That takes faith; faith in the goodness of God and trusting that God knows best.
This faith journey is at times difficult and treacherous: leaping from one ledge to another requires great faith if I only concentrate on the gap beneath my feet. But if I am following The Shepherd, then I don't even see the gap. I am not graceful. I am Grace-Filled. I am Christian and I follow Christ.

Guard Your Heart - - A Heart That Honors God

Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart with all diligence; for out of it flow the issues of life.

*Strong's Ex. Conc. No.5341
Guard: to watch, to keep; to watch over, to protect
From the Hebrew word 'natsar' (pronounced naw-tsar'): to guard the way of the heart.

OUR HEARTS
 Luke 6:45
The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
To Guard our hearts is to be careful of what goes into our hearts. It is our treasure box, treasure chest: whatever we put into it, we will pull out of it. Like a child keeping all his favorite things in a shoebox, hiding it under the bed or in the closet and pulling it out to finger and gaze upon all his treasures, we too, should be examining our hearts, choosing only the best treasures.
Our hearts are fickle by nature. We change our minds as often as we breathe or blink. According to the Smithsonian, in their science and nature category, our eyes blink about 15 to 20 times per minute. We blink so often we are not aware of it. But we need to be more aware of how often our hearts can deceive us because of their nature to wander away from the focal point we try to maintain: specifically, our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I walk through a garden and want to smell every flower, to inhale the sweet perfumes. But not every flower should be smelled. There are weeds, some of which stink. There are bees, some so small you can't see them unless you open your eyes. There are spiders and all manner of insect activity in the garden.
Our hearts need to be open to the Lord and closed to the devil. Closed to the devil's deceits and cunning ways of distraction. Closed to his deliberate lies and prevarications (distortions, exaggerations, lies, fabrications, evasions, misrepresentations). Satan is a liar and the father of lies: John 8:44.
The heart of the Christian must be aligned with the Word of God in order to live a successful life, a life that honors God. Being a successful Christian does not mean the road is paved with gold; it does not mean we will always have money in the bank. Nor does it mean we will always be happy and not know turmoil or pain. With God success is being obedient to Him in a way that is honorable to Him.
A HEART THAT HONORS GOD
The Book of Proverbs gives great Wisdom from God on how to have a heart that honors God. Today we are focusing on Proverbs 3:1-12 which speaks on teaching our hearts to obey God.
  • Remember His commandments in our hearts
  • Keeping His commandments lengthens our days & gives peace to our lives
  • Bind mercy and faithfulness around our necks, write them on the tablets of our hearts
  • Then we will find favor with God and with man
  • Trust in the Lord with all our hearts, lean not on our own understanding
  • In all our ways we are to acknowledge Him: He will make our paths straight
  • Don't be wise in our own eyes; fear the Lord and turn from evil
  • Doing this will bring healing to our bodies, refreshment to our bones
  • Honor the Lord with our wealth, the firstfruits of all of our harvest
  • For only then will our storehouses be overflowing
  • Reject not the discipline of the Lord, for He only disciplines the ones He loves and delights in
That's how we train our hearts to be obedient to The Word of God. We start with love, the pure love of God which is extended to us through His Son Jesus Christ, through the cross, through the blood which was shed by His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, through His grace, His mercy, His forever lovingkindness.
    John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    1 John 4:8, 9
8. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
9. This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.
That's successful living. A heart that loves like God loves has Jesus Christ living in it. As this new year begins, let us love one another with guarded hearts which have Christ living in them.
