Luke 11:9
And I will do whatever you ask in My Name,
so that The Father may be glorified in The Son.
If you ask Me for anything in My Name,
I will do it.
We should never be afraid to approach the throne of glory, when we approach it in Jesus' Name. We should come boldly (Hebrews 4:16), confidently (Ephesians 3:12), and in the full assurance of faith (Matthew 21:22), that whatever we are asking God for, we know that He will give it to us: whether we ask once, or whether we keep on asking.
Luke 11:10a; Matthew 7:8a
For everyone who asks receives
Asking alone gives us joy because we are asking our heavenly Father for something He wants us to have, for something He knows we need. We are asking because the reward is greater than the request.
John 16:24
Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Asking in Jesus' Name requires faith in Jesus' Name, trusting in Him for our salvation. We cannot ask anything in His Name, if His Name is not already living in our hearts.
John 15:7
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you will, and it will be done for you.
1 John 3:22
And we will receive from Him whatever we ask, because we keep His commandments and do what is pleasing in His sight.
