 KURIOS DOXA

LORD OF GLORY

1 Corinthians 2:8
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified The Lord of Glory.

GLORY: Honor, Splendor, Majesty, Praise, The Unspoken Manifestation of God

Pronounced: koo'-ree-os dox'-ah
According to my Helps/Studies, the word Kurios means "a person exercising absolute ownership rights"; Lord

This designation is used 722 times in Scripture. Repetition is meant to reinforce and imprint on us the fullness of The Word we are learning. It is not necessary for us to remember it in our minds, as what is being imprinted on our hearts is done spiritually and when we need it, The Holy Spirit will bring it to our lips and then we will speak it out. (Read all of 2 Corinthians 2)
When we sing The Doxology, we are praising His glory. But what is His glory? Absolute ownership rights. Lord. We recognize that Jesus Christ is LORD of ALL. Even us, especially us. For we are His craftsmanship. The believer in Christ is truly owned by His Lord and Savior and for this we give Him all the praise. From the depths of our hearts we cry out, "Holy, holy, holy is The Lord God Almighty! Worthy is The Lamb That Was Slain!"
His glory is His majesty. Majesty to rule, majesty to judge. Wonderful, beautiful glory. That which has not yet been seen by the believer still on this side of heaven but longed for even now.
Even the thief on the cross recognized Jesus Christ as Lord. Such a simple word but with so much spiritual discernment in his words to Jesus. Luke 23:42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” Lord-Kurios: Master, Owner, Supreme in Authority. This is our Lord. The Lord of Glory. Majestic Ruler of All.
Let us prepare our hearts to enter into His courtyards and His presence.
