I Have A Humble Heart

This pride thing in God's kingdom needs to stop. Where are the humble servants? The field hands?

Stop being a 'proud member' in the kingdom. Start being a hands on family member in the kingdom of God: it's about doing God's work according to God's plan, God's blueprint for seeing His kingdom grow.

It's about loving each other with the love of Christ. Let God judge the heart and get out of the way. "Love one another the way I have loved you", is what Jesus tells us in John 15:12.

It’s about submission; submitting to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and not giving in to a willful spirit. “Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18

Pride is taking credit where none is due. What a Christian does in God’s kingdom is for God’s glory, God’s honor, God’s increase. “Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men, because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24

There Is Power In The Name of Jesus

John 1:12,13 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on His Name. --Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD.” Power To TRANSFORM
John 1:29 “The next day John seeth JESUS coming unto him, and saith, Behold THE LAMB OF GOD, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Power to REMOVE SIN
John 1:36,37 “And looking upon JESUS as he walked, he saith, Behold THE LAMB OF GOD. And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed JESUS.” Power to LEAD
John 1:42 “And he brought him to JESUS. And when JESUS beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.” Power to CHANGE
John 2:6-11
“And there were set there six waterpots of stone,
after the manner of the purifying of the Jews,
containing two or three firkins apiece (20 to 30 gallons).
--JESUS saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water.
And they filled them up to the brim.
--And He saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.
And they bare it.
--When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, --And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
--This beginning of miracles did JESUS in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him.” Power to RENEW

John 2:18-22 "Then answered the Jews and said unto Him, What sign can You show us to prove Your authority in doing these things (read verses 12-17 to see what Jesus had done to provoke this question)? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will You raise it up in three days? But He spoke of the temple of His body. When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and The Word which Jesus had said." Power to RESURRECT

John 3:14-17, 36 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (36) He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. Power to SAVE

John 4:7 "There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus said unto her, Give me to drink." (the testimony of the woman at the well and how she received what Jesus had to give) Power to SPEAK WITH, AND BE HEARD BY, THOSE LIVING IN SIN
John 4:46-53 "
So once again He came to Cana in Galilee, where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die. Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.” “Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.” “Go,” said Jesus. “Your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed. 51And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive. So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour." Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed. Power to HEAL
John 5:22 "For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son." Power to JUDGE
John 5:42 "But I know you, that you have not the love of God in you." POWER TO KNOW A PERSON'S HEART
John 6:48, 58, 63 (48) I AM that Bread of Life. (58) This is that Bread which came down form heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this Bread shall live for ever. (63) It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life." Power to SPEAK LIFE-GIVING WORDS

JEHOVAH OR

JEHOVAH OR

(pronounced YAH-WAY ORE)

PSALM 27:1 "The LORD Is my Light and my Salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD Is the Strength of my Life, of whom shall I be afraid?"

  • This is that Light which shines in the darkness, distinguishing what is Good and what is Right from what is not. "And God said, Let there be Light and there was Light. And God saw that the Light was good, and He separated the Light from the darkness." (Genesis 1:3-4) {while the Light referred to in Genesis 1:3-4 is not the Light of God's Love, it still has the same general concept of light piercing the darkness}.
  • This Light is the Path we take through the darkness around us: "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, a Light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
  • This Light delivers those who walk in darkness: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a Light has dawned."

  • This Light is not only to be walked in, but makes one fruitful in the things of The LORD.
    • "For you were once darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord. Walk as children of Light, for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth." (Ephesians 5:8-9)

    JEHOVAH OLAM EL

    JEHOVAH OLAM EL
    (pronounced YAH-WAY O-LAWM El)
    THE LORD EVERLASTING GOD
    Genesis 21:33
And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.
    Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know? Have you not heard? the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will never grow faint or weary; His understanding is beyond searching out.
    Jeremiah 10:10
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

    JEHOVAH ROI

    JEHOVAH ROI
    (pronounced Yah-Way Ro-Ee)
YOU ARE THE GOD WHO SEES ME
    Genesis 16:13
So Hagar gave this name to the LORD who had spoken to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said,
“Here I have seen the One who sees me!”
    Ezekiel 1:16-18
The workmanship of the wheels looked like the gleam of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. Their workmanship looked like a wheel within a wheel. -- As they moved, they went in any of the four directions, without pivoting as they moved. --
Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims
were full of eyes all around.

There is no place we can go that God does not see us. Therefore we should want to be a people who delights in the things of God that our actions and our words might bring Him joy.

    THE LORD GOD OF HEAVEN
    Genesis 24:7
The LORD, the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from my native land, who spoke to me and swore to me, 'I will give this land to your offspring -- He will send His angel before you, and you can take a wife for my son from there.'

    Thankful For Brokenness

Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them,
and they all drank from it.
    Mark 14:23

Jesus, knowing what lay ahead of Him, knowingly gave thanks to God for what was about to happen in the next few hours and coming days. Can any of us say that?
He knew that His body would suffer and be broken, that His blood would spill out onto not only the ground, but the sins of all the people in the whole wide world.
He knew and He answered the call His Father had laid on Him to be His Father's Holy Lamb of God which would take away the sins of the world, not just cover them up.
He knew He would remain silent before His accusers unless prompted by His Father to speak to them.
He knew the what, the why and the how.
    BUT
    He also knew the outcome.
    And He knew the Victory.

    Thankful Heart

Had begun a Thankful Heart Series.

Well, now, the photo editor I have been using is not available at this time because it uses Flash. I will just post the last few weeks I was able to get together and we'll just wait and see where the next step takes me.

    The Unbelieving Heart

The verse begins with "For this reason". What reason?
Why does God judge the unbeliever?
For two reasons which are given in this verse:

    1. Because they refused to believe The Truth of God's Word
    and
    2. Because they delighted in wickedness.
