JEHOVAH OR
(pronounced YAH-WAY ORE)
PSALM 27:1 "The LORD Is my Light and my Salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD Is the Strength of my Life, of whom shall I be afraid?"
- This is that Light which shines in the darkness, distinguishing what is Good and what is Right from what is not. "And God said, Let there be Light and there was Light. And God saw that the Light was good, and He separated the Light from the darkness." (Genesis 1:3-4) {while the Light referred to in Genesis 1:3-4 is not the Light of God's Love, it still has the same general concept of light piercing the darkness}.
- This Light is the Path we take through the darkness around us: "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, a Light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
- This Light delivers those who walk in darkness: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a Light has dawned."
- "For you were once darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord. Walk as children of Light, for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth." (Ephesians 5:8-9)
