Redeemed

REDEEMED, HOW I LOVE TO PROCLAIM IT
REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB
REDEEMED THROUGH HIS INIFINITE MERCIES
HIS CHILD AND FOR EVER I AM.

A Greater Word Than Love

I HAVE A LITTLE BOOK TITLED "TREASURY OF GOSPEL GEMS" THAT IS PACKED QUOTES AND STORIES. A GREATER WORD THAN LOVE IS ONE OF THEM.

A LADY MISSIONARY WAS TELLING THE STORY GOD'S GREAT LOVE TO SOME WOMEN IN THE SECLUSION OF A WEALTHY HINDU'S HOME. SHE TOLD THEM HOW THAT GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BEIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING... LIFE.
SUDDENLY A HINDU LADY EXCLAIMED, "I DON'T CALL THAT LOVE!" "WHY NOT?" QUERIED THE MISSIONARY. "WELL," SAID THE HINDU, "I LOVE MY CHILDREN DEARLY, WITH A MOTHER'S LOVE, AND I WOULD NOT GIVE UP ONE OF MY BOYS OR GIRLS TO DIE FOR MY DEAREST FRIEND. YET GOD GAVE HIS ONLY SON TO DIE FOR HIS ENEMIES. I DON'T CALL THAT 'LOVE': YOU MUST FIND A GREATER WORD THAN LOVE FOR A DEED LIKE THAT.

For who is God save The LORD?
Or who is a rock save our God?
It is God that girds me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
He makes my feet like hinds' feet,...
And sets me upon my high places.
He teaches my hands to war,
So that a bow of steel is broken in my arms.
Psalm 18:31-34

I would have to be really physically strong to break a steel bow with my arms, knowing I cannot even break an egg without a bit of maneuvering.

While David was referring to weapons of warfare in the physical, I know this passage also refers to weapons of warfare in the spiritual. With God's strength, great strongholds of the enemy of our souls are brought down to nothing.

My hands go to war, when I fold them in prayer; when I lift them up in His praise; when I bring Him a clap offering. When I learn how God wants to be praised, then I am able to bring Him that praise. It is then, and only then, that He is able to inhabit *live, dwell, reside* the praises that I bring Him.

Wholehearted Sincere Praise is what He requires. No lip syncing. A lying heart can be seen by God and He will not receive the proffered praise from such. God is Holy and does not tolerate sin in His house(s).

I Will Praise Thee

Right With God

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS GAINED BY FAITH, NOT WORKS. THERE IS ONLY ONE THING WE CAN DO TO GAIN PERMANENT ENTRY INTO HEAVEN AND THAT IS TO BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST FOR OUR SALVATION.

One Drop of Blood

That little poem there is part of a song I wrote based on a young friend's poetry. Yes, she knows. She even has a copy of the recorded song.

Jesus In My Cup

With Jesus in my cup my cup is sure to overflow.

Serve The LORD with Gladness

SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS:
COME BEFORE HIS PRESENCE WITH SINGING.
PSALM 100:2

Don't wait until you get inside the church to worship and praise GOD: start now.
Worshiping GOD is a lifestyle; not an option.

Resting In The Light

Resting In The Light

Jesus has taught us that He Is The Light of The World. And He has sent His followers (us) into the darkness of this world to bring His Light to all, that He would be lifted up, shining His Light into the dark hearts of men, women, boys, girls.
It is with the heat that we believe. It is with the mouth that we speak what we believe. It is with the mind that we reason, discovering that we are, indeed, in need of that Light.

LORD JESUS, reveal Yourself ever more clearly to me that I might cause myself to be wholly surrendered to You. Shine the ever lasting Light of Your Love and Mercy upon my heart and cleanse me of every thing that is not of You.
Amen .

Believe n Receive

Grace is a gift from God. Neither you nor I can buy our way into heaven. The love of God was expressed on the cross, when He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world.
This grace is available to every person. But in order to receive this grace which God gives one must first believe that Jesus Christ is LORD. And repent of their sins, turning away from the sin in whi...ch we have made ourselves comfortable, and turning to Christ, who breaks the chains of sin which encompass us.

Belief is a must; there is no other way to gain entrance into the eternal presence of God but through His Son.
This is how the righteous in Christ prosper. It is our souls which prosper. We are planted in Him and we will be raised in Him. Amen

Chainbreaker

Propitiation: turning away God's wrath
God is holy. Sin is unholiness. That God's wrath might be turned away from us, He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross in our place.
Jesus could have said no, but He didn't; He obeyed and went to the cross to die for us.

When we believe this, we become His people and He becomes our God. He is the Savior of the whole world because He di...ed on the cross. But unless we believe in our hearts that God sent Him to die for us, and that this same God raised Christ from the dead, we will not truly know who Jesus is and what He has done for us individually.
We must each make a decision to not only believe on Him for our salvation, but we must also choose to live a godly, obedient lifestyle according to His WORD.
Yes, this is hard. And for most it will be impossible. Why? Because we need The Holy Spirit of God in us, guidng us, leading us, directing us: sanctifying our souls for God; The Holy Spirit makes us holy through His work in us, when we allow Him to work in us.
What are the chains with which we are bound? Sin chains. Whatever God says is sin is a link in the chains that bind each of us.
We do not all get bound by the same chains, but until we believe we are bound by some kind of chain.
The chains which had me bound are broken. Woo-hoo!

Passin' Through

But now, thus saith The LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have Redeemed thee, I have called thee by they name; thou art mine.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burnt; Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For I AM... The LORD thy God, The Holy One of Israel, thy Savior. I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
.... Even every one that is called by My Name: For I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
... Ye are My witnesses, saith The LORD, And my servant whom I have chosen: That ye may know that I Am He: Before Me there was no God formed, Neither shall there be after Me.

You Will Be Baptized

So, when you pray for revival, do you know for what you are praying?
When you sing Jesus Bring The Rain, what are you asking Him to do?
Intimacy with God is going to require sacrifice on our part.

It's no picnic praying in the garden. Just ask Jesus. Every time He needed to get alone with His Father, He found a garden to pray in. And that last one, He prayed so hard He sweat blood. I have never prayed that hard. I've cried, but not bled.

He knew what He was about to do would be the most difficult thing He would ever do. But He also knew that it was for that purpose that God had sent Him to this world. It required great sacrifice on His part.

He had to leave Home. For a few hours on the cross and 2 days in the grave He would be separated from His Father. An agony that literally broke His heart. With His heart already stopped, it is the reason only water poured forth from His side when the soldier's spear entered His body.

The holiness of God cannot be where sin is. With His Son Jesus Christ carrying the sins of the whole world, God could not see His Son; Christ could not see His Father. Not until God rolled the stone away and Jesus walked out of the grave.

But that separation from God was temporary. so that when we who believe on the Name of The LORD Jesus Christ would not be separated from our heavenly Father. Jesus obediently went through the mock trial, the gruesome crucifixion, the wrestling match with Satan in hell, in order to be God's sacrificial Lamb, which took away the sins of the world. Permanently.

Whereas the Old Testament sacrificial lamb only covered the sins of the people, the blood of the Holy Lamb of God washes away (woohoo!) the sins of the sinner.

I'm so glad that the LORD saved me. But I want Him to save you, too, if you are not already a believer. So, I pray for revival. In me, in you. A reviving of the desire to be a good and faithful servant. I pray for your salvation, your sanctification, your service to God.

I pray for your faithful testimony and strong witness. For your heart to be compassionate, your actions merciful and loving, your words to align with God's Word.

I pray for my witness to be strong and true. For my words and actions to line up with God's Word. Strength of testimony and a faith-filled life.

What am I willing to sacrifice to see revival fire fall? I guess we'll find out, won't we?

Obtaining and Maintaining the Blessings of God - My Soul Prospers

BLESSED is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the way of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of The LORD; And in His law does he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth his fruit in his seasons, His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he does shall prosper.

I'll have you know that this is not the prosperity message you think it is. The Book of Psalms begins with How To Prosper The Soul. My Soul Prospers.

We should not be paying attention to un-Christlike chatter, the so-called wisdom of the world around us; it will only bring us down and cause us to fall. We should not enjoy living in sin. Christ died to set us free from the chains and penalties of sin. To turn away from all that Jesus Christ is is to wallow in pig slop. Turn back to Christ, child, before the opportunity evaporates and you cannot.

The church is being sifted: the wind removes the chaff (the inedible, unsustaining part) leaving only that which will cause growth and harvest. We see the turmoil in today's churches and wonder. Why are so many churches splitting apart? Who makes the decision to stop preaching the truth of Gods Word? Where are all the young people, the next generation of the church? How did this happen? And What are we going to do about it?

We are going to turn back to God. We are going to read and study God's Word. We are going to seek God's face by kneeling in prayer. Yes, we can pray anywhere and at any time; but getting on one's knees is admitting we are humbled by His presence. We desire to be with God, not without Him. We want to know what God has to say about what is bothering us, what angers us and how we are to deal with the world we live in today.

We are going to let The Holy Spirit of God sanctify us and make us holy. To do that we must study out what it means to be holy. We are going to surrender not just our hearts, but our minds and our bodies to Jesus Christ, that we might serve Him fully in the work that He has for us.

And once we have reached the place where He deems us fit to work in the field He has chosen for us, we are going to make a stand for what we believe; we will not back down, nor will we retreat or compromise. Our weapons are The Word of God and prayer. With our hands we will build God's kingdom and defend it.

We are a holy nation of servant warriors: we live for Jesus and He lives in us. He is our Servant King. He fights our battles, when we serve Him according to The Word. And the greatest battle He ever fought, He only had to fight once: the battle for our souls. When did He do that? "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Why did He do that? "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16, 17
