Know Your Worth

Your have value. You have worth. You are important. Your life has meaning. You are loved.

VALUE
More Valuable Than Many Sparrows
Matthew 10:31
Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

WORTH
Proverbs 31:10
A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies.
Proverbs 20:7
The righteous man walks with integrity; blessed are his children after him.
WORTH DYING FOR
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
WORTH COMING BACK FOR
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise.
After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

IMPORTANT TO GOD
The Lord Crowns Us With Glory & Honor
Psalm 8:3-5
When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place—what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him? You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor.

YOUR LIFE HAS MEANING
2 Peter 1:3-8
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,
and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness,
and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone
The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

YOU ARE LOVED
Everything We Have Comes From God Our Provider
Psalm 103:3-5
He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 107:9
For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Psalm 23:5
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psalm 63:5-6
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember Thee upon my bed, and meditate on Thee in the night watches.

The Lord Is -- September

AGKURA
(pronounced ang'-koo-rah)
ANCHOR

Hebrews 6:19
We have this Hope as an Anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. (CSB)

Psalm 119:61
Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to Your instructions. (NLT)

EDUTH
(pronounced ay-dooth')
THE TESTIMONY

Exodus 30:6
Place the altar in front of the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony--before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony--where I will meet with you.

Exodus 24:12
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, so that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

After Moses broke the first set of commandments he had to return to God to get a second set. It is then that the Ten Commandments are again referred to as The Testimony. Such a beautiful word, a beautiful name.

Exodus 31:18
When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

It is only through the Testimony of God, the Word of God, that we may enter God's presence and commune with Him. In the Old Testament, under the Old Covenant, only the High Priest could enter God's presence and even then only once a year.
But now, we who live in the age of the church, can enter God's presence through The Word of His Testimony, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. God's Living Testimony lives in the heart of every believer through faith in the name that saves a person  from the condemnation of their own sins.
Now is the time to believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation. Today is the day to repent of the wickedness of our hearts, the evil of our words, our actions (or lack thereof) and receive forgiveness from God. Here and Now. Here at the foot of the cross, where the Lamb of God was slain once and for all (all people everywhere). Now in the valley of the shadow of death (this life we live) while we still have breath to confess and a heart to believe.

SAKAR RABAH MEOD
(pronounced saw-kawr' raw-bah' meh-ode')
EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD

Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your Shield, your Exceedingly Great Reward.”

Psalm 16:5
The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him.

Matthew 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

YAAQOB CHELEK
(pronounced yah-ak-obe' khay-lek' )
THE PORTION OF JACOB

Jeremiah 10:16
The Portion of Jacob is not like these, for He is the Maker of all things, and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance—the LORD of Hosts is His name.

Deuteronomy 32:9
But the LORD's portion is His people, Jacob His allotted inheritance.

Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Today's Word -- What The Law Reveals

The Law Cannot Give Life (eternal)

Galatians 3:20, 21
Now a mediator is not for just one person, but God is one. Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly be by the law.

1 Timothy 2:5, 6
For there is one God, and there is one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all—The Testimony that was given at just the right time.

MEDIATOR: intervenes to restore peace between two parties, especially as it fulfills a compact or ratifies a covenant.

Hebrews 8:6
Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises.

Law Cannot Make Perfect
Hebrews 7:19
(for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

Law Does Not Justify
Acts 13:39
And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Law Cannot Give Life
1 Corinthians 15:56
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Romans 3:20
Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin.

Law Reveals Sin And Sin Brings Death
Romans 7:9-11
Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.  So I discovered that the very commandment that was meant to bring life actually brought death. For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.

Law Reveals The Need For A Savior
Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Romans 5:18
So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.
Isaiah 53:3-8
He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of Sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; He was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Do you see your need for a Savior? for this Savior which God has given us? Do you see your need for a Mediator between you and God? I do. I need Jesus to intercede on my behalf to God. Every day.

Comes By

The born again believers' inheritance is Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ."

Our Inheritance Comes By The Promise
Galatians 3:18
For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Our righteousness is by faith. Romans 4:13 "For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world was not given through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith."

Promise Comes By Faith
Romans 4:14-16
For if those of the Law are heirs, faith has been made void and the promise made of no effect.
For Law brings wrath; and where there is no Law, neither is transgression.
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

Our faith comes by hearing the word of God spoken. Whether it is God speaking to us in His Word when we read and study it for ourselves, or whether we hear it spoken by His undershepherds: His ministers and preachers. Make no doubt about it: God has a Voice and He is still speaking to anyone who will listen to Him.

Faith Comes By Hearing
Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Now, let's open our Bibles, talk to God and ask Him to reveal today what He wants us to know.

In Spirit and In Truth

If our hearts aren't right with God, our worship isn't right either; He won't receive it.

John 4: 23, 24
"But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him.
God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

In spirit: breath
In truth: Divine Reality, Verity, the opposite of illusion

Therefore, with every breath we worship and praise and thank God in Truth, in certainty that He Is GOD and there is none other. Thanking Him for our salvation through the blood of His Lamb, His Son Jesus Christ.
Praising Him for His tender, endless mercies.
Worshiping Him for the grace He has extended to us, for the Love He bestows on us.

If our hearts are not right with God, we must repent of our disobedience to His Word that we might receive His pardon on our sins. We must come to the throne of Grace with all humility and humbleness of heart.
Neither pride, nor arrogance will enter God's court. We must surrender our hearts to His. We must choose to submit our will to His will. We must or we will die. Twice.

If our hearts are not right with God, we must come to the realization that we cannot fix our hearts on our own: only God can do that. It is beyond our reach to make ourselves clean enough to live in His presence forever. His Word tells us that our righteousness is like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

We need to be true worshipers.

Receive, Ingest & Digest The Word

In order to apply the Word of God to our lives and live it out the way He wants us to live it out, we need to do three things before the Word can flow through us and exude from us. We need to receive the Word. We need to Ingest the Word. We need to Digest the Word.

     1. Receiving The Word
Romans 10:17 "Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
  •  We receive the Word by hearing the Word. We hear it not only with our physical ears, but with out spiritual ears. This hearing can only be done in the Spirit; it is not an action we can control.
  • We receive the Word into our hearts when we believe that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son.
  • We receive the Word when we accept Him as Lord and Savior of our souls.
  • We receive the Word when we into ourselves when we confess out loud that Jesus Christ is Lord.

     2. Ingesting The Word
Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!"

  • We ingest the Word when we take it into our mouths. Scripture tells us to "taste and see that the Lord is Good". (Psalm 34:8) Does that mean we eat our Bibles? Not hardly. It means to open our Bible and read what God wants us to hear every single day.
  • It is entirely possible to read your Bible all the way through in one year. Do we have to understand it all all at once? No. We just need to begin reading at the beginning of the Bible and read it all the way through to the end of Revelation. I know a woman who has read it all the way through several times in a month! (not me, though I am filled with awe at her hunger).
     3. Digesting The Word
1 Timothy 4:15 "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all."
  • We digest the Word when we meditate on the Word.
  • We digest the Word when we pray over the Word we are reading, asking God to open our eyes to what He wants us to understand.
  • We digest the Word when we dig deeper into the Word, studying it out for ourselves.
  • We open our Bible at home and double check that what the minister is saying is the Truth of the Word for ourselves.
  • We read the Bible in order to know the Word; that discernment of right and wrong be made apparent to us.

The Spirit of God is constantly stirring the Word within us once the Word is in us, like a chef stirs the stew until it is ready to be served and eaten. So, I pray, Holy Spirit move through me. Stir me. Use me. Make me ready to stand on the Word. Make me able to share the gospel even more so. Amen.
