Applying the Word to Our Lives - Living The Living Word

It's funny, isn't it, how when we read the word, 'you', we know it applies to us, but when we pray regarding a verse, we apply it to others but not ourselves? But the Bible is meant to be applied and lived in our lives every single day.
So, I've been doing this thing on Facebook every few days, where I post a Scripture that I apply to my life as if it had been written to me personally, which of course, it is now. Though Paul was writing to the churches at the time of his writings, he also writes to me, for I am the church in my time, because I am a Christian, a Christ follower.
I am accountable for more than what I say and what I do and what I think. I am accountable for what I read and how I use what I read in my life. Therefore, I will be accountable to my heavenly Father, for how I applied His Word to my life.
I must read Scripture and read it into my life. The Holy Spirit compels me to get into the Word and to get God's Word into me, that He might use the Word to shape me into a usable vessel for God's glory.

August 12: Colossians 1:21-23
Once  I was alienated from God, and hostile in my mind, engaging in evil deeds. But now God has reconciled me by Christ's physical body through death to present me holy, unblemished and blameless in His presence --- if, indeed, I continue in my faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel which I have heard, which is proclaimed to every creature under heaven.

August 14: Today's WORD
I declare that Jesus Is LORD and believe in my ❤️ that God raised Him from the dead, therefore I am saved. For it is by believing in my ❤️ that I am made right with God, and it is by openly declaring my faith that I am saved.
Romans 10:9-10
For by grace am I saved through faith, not of anything I have done, but it is the gift of God, not by works that I have done.
Ephesians 2:8-9

Why do we need to be saved? And what are we being saved from?
John 3:16, 17
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

Unbelief determines destination after death.
John 3:18-21
"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God."
Revelation 21:8
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.
Galatians 5:19-21
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 John 1:7-9
If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.  But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

August 15: As I have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD, so do I walk in Him: rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith, abounding herein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7

August 16: Colossians 2:8-14
I must see to it that no one takes me captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ.
For in Christ all the fulness of the Deity dwells in bodily form.
And I have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
In Him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of your sinful nature, with the circumcision performed by Christ and not by human hands. (cf. Ezekiel  36:26 )
Having been buried with Him in baptism, I was raised with Him through my faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.
When I was dead in my trespasses and in the uncircumcision of my sinful nature, God made me  alive with Christ. He forgave me all my trespasses,
having canceled the debt ascribed to me in the decrees that stood against me. He took it away, nailing it to the cross!

August 17: Philippians 2:12-16
I continue to work out my salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in me to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
I am to do everything without complaining or arguing, that I may be blameless and pure, a child of God without fault, in a crooked and perverse generation, in which I shine as a light in the world as I hold forth the Word of life.

And while these past few days are posted all at once today, I'll try to post the new applications here when I post them on other social media. I'm trying to stay organized, on top of things.
