GOD GIVES LIFE TO THE REPENTANT SOUL
GOD GIVES LIFE TO THE REPENTANT SOUL
1 John 5:15
If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he should ask God, who will give life to those who commit this kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should ask regarding that sin.
This could be a hard verse to read and take in just on the surface of it. But remember that every Epistle of the New Testament is written to young churches which were being infiltrated by teachings which did appeared to line up with the gospel, but in truth could not. John was writing against the Gnostic teachings which were being heard in this church: said teachings deny the incarnation of Christ and refusal to adhere to moral restraints.
Jesus Christ is both God and Man at the same time. While He left His glory behind in heaven, He never left His deity.
While it is not our place to judge a man's heart or know their intentions, it is our place to root out of our churches teaching that does not line up with the Word of God. It is like trying to blend oil and water: the oil will always separate itself.
To knwo the difference we need to know The Word, the full gospel Word, and this Word needs to live in our hearts, not just rest on our bookshelves.
