Look Not To The Skies

Signs and wonders are seen in our skies. Earthquakes as small as 2.5 and great as 7.5 reshape our planet. Liars. Deceivers. False prophets. Wars and rumors of wars fill the airwaves. Famines. Pestilences. Nation against nation. Kingdom against kingdom.
Iniquity, sin, will abound. Many who once loved The Lord have stopped doing so. Many will be offended by The Name of Christ. They will betray those who do, turn them in to the authorities and torture/kill these believers.
What do all of these have in common?
They must all come to pass before Christ's return to take His beloved Church out of this world. But we are not to look for these things to happen. Nor should we look to the skies for His return. What should we be doing?

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God". Seek the lost. Pray for all. Witness The Name of Jesus, and Him crucified and resurrected, for the sins of the world; bringing to us all deliverance from captivity. For sin has captured many and bound them tightly: addiction to many sinful activities prevents a person not only from doing what is right, but hearing the Truth.
Drugs and alcohol lure a person to thrills that kill. Sexual sins: porn, incest, homosexuality, infidelity/adultery, rape wrap a person so up in them that they cannot think straight, much less walk a strait path. Greed: never enough of anything. Pride: one's life revolves around one's self, arrogance, narcissism, vanity, unwillingness to change. Unforgiveness: bitter words, hateful attitude, vengeful heart. And more than this, even.
But it is the Christian's job, as a faithful loving companion of Jesus Christ, to share the love of God through The Gospel of Salvation to all we meet. Not knowing in advance where God will lead us, or to whom, on a daily basis, we must be prepared to impart such wisdom and love.
Therefore, it is necessary to not just brush up on our Scriptures, but to study them in-depth, that The Whole Word of God would be imprinted on our hearts, waiting for a willing mind to obey the leading of The Holy Spirit, Who will open our mouths and fill them with God's Word of Hope, Faith, Love, Peace, Joy, Wisdom, Grace.
Look not to the skies for Jesus Christ: look to your Bibles. Seek The Holy Spirit's guidance in understanding God's Holy Word. And ask God which translation you should be reading. Not only will He tell you, but He will reveal Himself when you go looking for Him.
