Pieces of Clay

Some of the songs I have written have been written for individuals and dedicated thus. Such as this one. A beautiful friend  who passed through my life, Laura Lee. A few weeks ago, this chorus came back into my memory, and The Holy Spirit directed me to do a nine-part series on Little Pieces of Clay-Making A Christian, which is posted on the home page of this site.

Little pieces of clay
Little pieces of clay
I'm making a Christian with a broken heart
Out of little pieces of clay.

Two little holes for eyes,
A squiggly line of a smile;
Beautiful feet
from preaching My Word
That carry her mile after mile.

Little pieces of clay
Little pieces of clay
I'm making a Christian with a broken heart
Out of little pieces of clay.

Arms created for hugs,
Hands that fold in prayer;
Knees that bend,
And a head that bows:
She's bringing Me down there.

Little pieces of clay
Little pieces of clay
I'm making a Christian with a broken heart
Out of little pieces of clay.
