TUESDAY

OUR ATONING SACRIFICE
OUR ATONING SACRIFICE
1 John 2:2
He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

John penned these words to remind the Christians, the believers, that Jesus Christ, the Holy One of Israel, God extending His Strong Right Arm to people everywhere, is the substitutionary sacrifice which was needed to turn away God's wrath from the believer's sin and lay it on the substitute, His Son Jesus Christ, instead.
For my sins He died. For your sins He died. For our sins He died. For our parents' sins, for our siblings' sins, for children's sins He died. For "whosoever believes on the name of the Lord shall be saved" He died.
The unbeliever becomes a believer through faith - John 3:16 "...that whosoever believes in Him...". Believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives is Faith. Not just having it, but living it, too.

WEDNESDAY
JULY 15
WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM

THURSDAY
JULY 16
LIARS DON'T KNOW TRUTH
LIARS DON'T KNOW TRUTH
1 John 2:4
If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Titus 1:6
They profess to know God, but they deny Him by their actions. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.
The ones who live in the Truth of God cannot lie. Also, the ones who lie cannot live in the Truth of God until they repent and are changed by the Spirit of God.
It is impossible to walk, live, by faith if the Truth is not in you. If you have believed the lies of the enemy of God, now is the time to turn to Him seek His Word and find forgiveness for your souls.
God's commandments are not grievous. Love God onlly and Love one another the way Jesus Christ has loved us: unconditionally and wholly.

SATURDAY
JULY 18
WALK AS JESUS WALKED
WALK AS JESUS WALKED
1 John 2:6
Whoever claims to abide in Him (God) must walk as Jesus walked (with obedient Love to what the Father said to Him).
John 10:30 "I and the Father are One".
John 17:21 "that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me."
That's Abiding.
John 13:34 "A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another."
And how has Jesus loved us?
Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,"
Romans 12:10 "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another."
Ephesians 5:2 "and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God."
1 Peter 1:22 "Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth so that you have a genuine love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from a pure heart."
John 15:14 "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
That's walking like Jesus walked.
