The Good Wife

is a Blessing to her husband.

According to the Bible dictionary "Virtuous" means strong, wealthy, efficient and army. Who knew, right? But none of these means in the physical or natural sense of each word.

Proverbs 1:1-10 describes what it is to know wisdom. This, too, is a description of the virtuous woman, the "good wife" to be found.

So we must ask ourselves, "Am I a good wife according to The Word of God?"
*Do I know wisdom and instruction?
*Do I perceive the words of understanding?
*Do I receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment and equity (uprightness, righteousness)?
*Do I give good judgment to the simple, to the young (younger generations) knowledge and discretion?

Am I receiving wisdom from God to be a good wife in His sight? Am I teaching the wisdom I have gleaned to younger women who want to be good wives in His definition? Am I listening to godly women who want to share the wisdom they have learned in their years of marriage? I hope so.

Am I strong in The LORD?
Do I have the wealth of His Word planted, hidden in my heart?
Am I wisely, efficiently using my talents, my gifts, my time to honor God, that I might be a blessing to both God and my husband?
Am I walking worthy?

If I cannot answer any one of these with a resounding yes, then I must go to my prayer closet, ask God's forgiveness and seek His guidance in doing all these things, that I might be the wife He has called me to be.
