A House or A Tent?

These are my notes from Pastor Spencer's sermon Jan 31, 2016.
First, he recapped from the Jan 17 sermon, to bring us back to where we were two weeks prior: Am I building a house for God?

 Or am I setting up a tent now and then?

Then dove right into part two of it:

1. We need a strong foundation to withstand all storms.
2. What we build on needs to be firm and stable.
     *First Layer - Salvation - Acts 4:12
     *Second Layer - Personal Revelation of who Jesus Christ is - Acts 16:16
          >We can hear about Jesus. We can read about Jesus. We can view artist's renderings of Jesus. And still not believe.
     *Third Layer - Perfect blood of Christ - 1 Peter 1:19-20
     *Fourth Layer - Everlasting Life - John 3:36
     *Fifth Layer - Chief Cornerstone - Ephesians 2:20
     *Sixth Layer - Teach Christ The Chief Cornerstone - 1 Corinthians 3:10
          >Chief Cornerstone-Directional Stone: Straight, True, Plumb
     *Seventh Layer - Build For Eternity - 1 Corinthians 3:11 & 1 Peter 1:18-20
          >Build on The Lamb of God
          >A sacrifice is a personal co$t
          >A true relationship is solid everyday
          >Trust/Faith/Hope must be in Christ
          >Follow true doctrine, not false teachings
