Catching Up and East From West

I know it's been awhile since last I posted. One of the main reasons? My browser was infected with some kind of advertisement bug and it wouldn't let me access my pages without a ton of interference.

There is coming a day, however, when I will no longer be able to share my studies with you. Until that day occurs, these studies will keep coming.

Psalm 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As Rudyard Kipling stated in his epic poem 'The Ballad of East and West',
"East is east and west is west and never the twain shall meet."

He knew his Scripture when he used that statement. And it's true: no matter how you shape it or imagine it, east will never meet west. When God forgives us for our sins, after we repent of our sins, the penalty for those sins committed, is forever paid by another: JESUS CHRIST, God's only begotten Son. Thus those sins will never be judged, for they have been forgiven and forgotten by God.

It is by God's mercy that we are forgiven-Psalm 103:17-18  "But the mercy of The LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear (hold in awe and wonder) Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them."

What is God's covenant with us? His Son, The LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Hebrews 13:20,21 "Now The GOD of Peace, that brought again from the dead our LORD JESUS, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through JESUS CHRIST; to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

Jeremiah 31:33,34  "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith THE LORD, I will put My Law in their hearts; and will be their GOD, and they shall be My people.
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know THE LORD': for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them,' saith THE LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."

Hebrews 8:6 "But now has He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the Mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises." Hebrews 8:10 "For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith THE LORD; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a GOD, and they shall be to Me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying Know THE LORD: for all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."

I love that God's mercy endures for ever. I love that God's mercy is not just for me and you, but for our children and their children, as well. The prayers we pray now are impacting not only us, but they who will come after us: children's children's children. Someone prayed for us before we were ever born. Let's keep this legacy of remaining in prayer with our God going.
