The Riches of God Are Deep & Unsearchable

    Romans 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

    Job 11:7-9
7. Can you fathom the deep things of God or discover the limits of the Almighty?
8. They are higher than the heavens—what can you do? They are deeper than Sheol—what can you know?
9. Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea.

    Ephesians 3:8,9
8. To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9. And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God, Who created all things through Jesus Christ.

The wisdom of God is foolishness to the unbelieving soul. [1 Corinthians 1:18-25]. For He has created a Way of Salvation for the lost souls and that Way is through believing the message of the gospel of repentance through Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:2,3 tells us that the mystery of God is Christ, and that in Christ is the wisdom of God.
The wisdom of this world is fleeting. It comes by learning from experience. It changes like the tides of the sea. But the wisdom of God is eternal. In His wisdom He created the earth and everything in it. In His wisdom He created a plan of salvation for the people of earth. And that wisdom is Jesus Christ. If we don't know Christ as our Lord and Savior, we don't know anything.
The psalmist writes, "The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge." [Proverbs 9:10]. But it's only the beginning, the necessary first step in obtaining The Wisdom of God and seeking out the knowledge of God. There is so much our hungry hearts and thirsty souls long for. An intimate, set apart relationship with Jesus Christ begins the journey of living a contented life in Him. [Philippians 4:11-13].
The knowledge of God is His understanding, and His understanding is limitless, without number, boundless, beyond comprehension, infinite (depending on which version of the Bible you use) [Psalm 147:5]. 1 John 3:20 "God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things."
The knowledge of God extends beyond mankind's understanding and knowledge. Oftentimes, when the meteorologist speaks of 'known' weather history, it is because there was a time when nothing was written down regarding weather patterns. Our knowledge is limited. Each of us comprehends the knowledges of this world within our own scope of understanding.
We do not know what the future holds, whether it is the next split-second or the next day or the next year. But God does. God knows how this earth was created. He knew it before it happened. Our Bible tells us that God and His Spirit and His Word created this earth and everything in it. [Genesis 1, 2].
God knows how this earth will be uncreated. This, too, is written in the Bible. [Revelation 6 through 20]. We need to prepare for the end of this world now so we can live in the next world then. For only the people who have chosen The Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior can live eternally.
I do not need to know all things. I just need to know that my sins are forgiven by God when I repent of the sin in my life. I just need to know that Jesus Christ is Lord. I just need to know that His death on the cross saved me by the blood which flowed from His body onto my wretched soul. I just need to know God loves me.
I just need to know that God keeps His promises, of which there are several thousand. Since we know that God's Word is Faithful and True, we know that He never breaks a promise. So, we can trust Him when He makes us a promise. Whether that promise is for a blessing [Deuteronomy 28:1-14; John 3:16] or for a cursing [Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Revelation 20:7-15].
But, oh! to know God is to love God. To love God is to know Christ. This is all the knowledge I need. His knowledge is unsearchable, yet I continue to seek Him out every day, learning just enough. We do not eat all of the meals we will ever need to eat in on sitting, so how can I expect to learn of my God and all His ways in one reading?
His Wisdom is my Salvation, for His Wisdom is the mystery of the gospel which is Jesus Christ, crucified and risen. On the cross He died and conquered sin for me. In the grave He conquered hell for me. In the garden He conquered death and the grave for me. And for you. Do you believe?
