Return of The King - Days of Noah

Revelation 1:7
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

DAYS OF NOAH
Matthew 24:37
As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Genesis 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time.

How was life in the days of Noah that we may know the signs to watch for? Genesis 6:5 gives us an insight: every inclination, every imagination, of mankind's thoughts in his or her heart will be evil ALL THE TIME.
    Matthew 15:18, 19
But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, and slanders.
    Matthew 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
    Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, witchcraft/sorcery, hatreds, contentions, jealousies, wrath, strife/selfish ambitions, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, carousing and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
    1 Corinthians 6:10
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor coveters, not drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

These thoughts will be in every person who is not of God. And because of their hatred for what is holy and righteous they will come against God's people on every platform, including the church.
Those whose desire is for their itching ears ( 2 Timothy 4:3, 4 ) to be comforted will build their own churches or sneak in and take over ( Acts 20:29, 30 ) the churches who are not paying attention to the divisions within their walls.
Paul warns the church to be alert and stay on her guard that this does not happen. She is to be spotless, without blemish, without stain: The real church of God is holy and righteous, pure and filled with love for her Bridegroom. She is strong in her Lord and in the power of His might. His church is a light in an ever growing dark world. Though few will flock to her altars, still she will stand: stand on The Word of God.
We who believe in The Name of The Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation are God's church. BE ALERT! PAY ATTENTION! REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD! Personally, this I have done. And it was wonderful. I am a new creation in Christ! The old life I lived is dead and gone. The new life I have in Christ is Christ in me. Come, come to the cross. Come to the Light and Love of God in Christ. Walk with me to the garden and have new life in Christ, for He has conquered death, hell and the grave!
What is death that we should fear it? What is the darkness of the grave that we should dread it? Hell has no power over the saved of The LORD.
In the days of Noah, out of all the people who were upon the face of the earth at that time, only EIGHT survived: Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives. The ark was built big enough to save more but none believed Noah. Though the ark loomed large in the desert landscape, though the animals came by twos and sevens into the ark, though Noah preached while he constructed the ark: no one believed him. That's how it was in the days of Noah:unbelief was in every heart.

PEOPLE GET READY/REPENT & BE BAPTIZED
Isaiah 55:7
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Zechariah 12:10
Then I will pour out on the house of David and on the people of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and prayer, and they will look on Me, the One they have pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man will come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done.
Matthew 24:30
At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

The Lord Is King of Glory

Psalm 24:8
Who is this King of Glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Psalm 93:1
The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith He has girded Himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

Psalm 10:16
The LORD is King forever and ever; the nations perish from His land.

Revelation 19:16
And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

We are to throw open the doors of our hearts and welcome, embrace The King Who has declared His great love for us, when He died on the cross, fought death, hell and the grave: overcoming all three by rising from the dead and walking out of the grave with a new body, the firstfruits of the new kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 15:23.
Revelation 3:20 tells us that Jesus Christ knocks on the door and waits to be let in, where He can dine with us. Psalm 23:5 reminds us that God prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies: when the enemies of God have nothing, the people of God have everything and lack nothing (Psalm 23:1). The King of Glory desires only the best for those people who recognize Him as their King.
Who is this King of Glory? Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. He is The Anointed One. Anointed to suffer, anointed to die, anointed to rule as King by God His Father. He is Chosen out of all of heaven and earth to fulfill God's plan of salvation and redemption. He is The Lion of the tribe of Judah, The Root of Israel. Revelation 5:1-5. And He is to be praised.
Who is this King of Glory? He is The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world - John 1:29. He is The Word of God wrapped in flesh - John 1:14. He is King forever. And this King of Glory is MY KING OF GLORY. He called me out of darkness into His marvelous LIGHT - 1 Peter 2:9. And I answered Him by running to the foot of His cross, repenting of my sins, weeping and heartbroken I knelt at His feet and He forgave me, wrapped me in His arms and carried me away with Him.
Who is this King of Glory? He is the Bridegroom in search of a Bride who is without blemish and without stain - Matthew 25:6,10; 1 Peter 1:19 - a Bride who is pure and undefiled. He is coming soon to gather His Bride, His Church.
Now is the time to get ready for The King of Glory's return. Now is the time to prepare our hearts. Now is the time to hear The Word of God, believe The Word of God is True and Faithful and receive The Word of God into our hearts and lives. Now is the time to be baptized by The Holy Spirit of God. Now, before Christ returns to get His Bride and leaves with both her and His best friend: The Holy Spirit Who has been preparing the Bride of Christ to be with Him forever.
So I pray: Lord, send a revival and let it begin in me.

Arming The Spiritual Warrior -- Sanctification & Wisdom

 1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

*Strong's Ex. Conc. No. 37
Sanctify:  to make holy, consecrate, sanctify; I make holy, treat as holy, set apart as holy, sanctify, hallow, purify

To be sanctified is to separate one's self from that which is unholy and cling to that which is holy. This begins to happen when we first believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. It is both a spiritual thing and a physical.

The physical separation from wickedness happens when we choose not to do the things we did before we got saved. The spiritual separation from a wicked lifestyle happens when the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us and on us, leading us to a consecrated, set apart lifestyle. The Holy Bible helps us do just that.
Every study of God's Word should be bringing us closer to God, not farther. We must submit what we want to learn from it to what God wants to teach us from it. He is the Author after all.
I was an alcoholic drunk. I had blackouts. There are nights I don't remember how I got home. There came a time when I didn't want to drink any more. But I couldn't stop completely on my own. I got married, had kids, and went back to church. The kids got saved and I got saved again. And this time I heard about and saw the Holy Spirit in action.
But the enemy of our souls attacked me when I wasn't ready for it. Separation of the family, divorce and moving to another city. I started drinking again even though I didn't want to, until a new friend reprimanded me for drinking, questioning the why of it. My physical separation from sin had been temporary. I knew I needed more. Then the new church I was attending had a week-long revival. That's what I needed. I was working now and the job kept me from the revival until the very last night.
That's the night I got baptized in the Holy Spirit and began to sing in tongues. It was a totally new experience for me, and a wonderful one, at that. It was as if I had exploded in song. That began my spiritual sanctification process. I no longer had the desire to drink. When I was around it, I got nauseous. I am no longer an alcoholic. I am delivered.
I neither drink nor do drugs because the Holy Spirit of God has breathed on me and set me on fire to serve God with my body, my talents and my gifts. My choice. It is not that I can't live a life of wickedness now, it is that I choose not to. I have turned my back on sin and my face on God. For I have chosen to live a sanctified life: a life that is set apart for God. A life that chooses to honor God and be a good and faithful servant in His kingdom.
If you think my testimony sounds awful, you need to acquaint yourselves with *other Christians who have been delivered from the sin in their lives. Examine yourselves. For example, John Bunyan was an illiterate tinker, having dropped out of  school to learn his trade (he learned to read after he got married). He was a 'ringleader of vice and ungodliness' (in his own words) during his youth, before he got saved and became the author of Pilgrim's Progress, a book second only to the Bible in its publishing and distribution.

GOD OF PEACE
1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Romans 16:20
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
GOD SUSTAINS US THROUGH IT ALL
1 Corinthians 1:8
He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Malachi 3:2
But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner's fire, like a launderer's soap.
1 Corinthians 3:12-14
If anyone builds on this foundation (Jesus Christ) using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward.
CHRIST OUR WISDOM FROM GOD
1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.
WISDOM OF GOD FROM GOD
The Book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible is called The Book of Wisdom. It is filled with pearls of great truth and nuggets of riches which can only help a man or woman grow into the person God wants us to be. These, too, help sanctify us. We read that Wisdom has a voice and calls out to us to listen to what Wisdom has to say. Wisdom informs us of right living results and wrong living results, sometimes in the same verse.
Proverbs is written by King Solomon son of King David of Israel way back in ancient times, yet the very wisdom imparted is still crucial today. Wisdom from God, is after all, what King Solomon asked God for when God asked him what he wanted after Solomon became King.
1 Kings 3:1-15 tells us of Solomon's dream, in which God asks him what he wants and Solomon replies, "Discernment, an understanding heart that would know how to judge and rule over God's people."
James 1:5
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
BEING HOLY IS A WAY OF LIFE
Holiness is a command from God to us. 1 Peter 1:15. 16 reiterates Leviticus 11:44, 19:2, 20:7, 26; Deuteronomy 7:6, 14:2. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Our conduct in this life should be impeccable. 1 Peter 1:17  "Since you call on a Father who judges each one’s work impartially, conduct yourselves in reverent fear during your stay as foreigners."
Sanctification requires a submissive heart which surrenders its rights to God's desires,  God's will. Wisdom directs our hearts to seek out God and inquire of His will for our lives. We cannot be fully functioning Spiritual Warriors unless we do both. Without a set apart lifestyle, we are hypocrites. Without godly wisdom we are ignorant wretches.
This is what we have been studying every day since the beginning of this year. I had thought the new study Being Born Again Is A Lifestyle would be January's study. Little did I know that I would still be studying such a message even now and perhaps into the end of this year or into the next. I am merely the pen, the conduit, which the Holy Spirit flows through, which God wields when He writes with me.
And subdivided from the main study have come separate studies within the mainframe study. Such as Arming The Spiritual Warrior, this month's study. I'm having fun both learning the Word and applying the Word to my life. Aren't you?

You Will Be Baptized

So, when you pray for revival, do you know for what you are praying?
When you sing Jesus Bring The Rain, what are you asking Him to do?
Intimacy with God is going to require sacrifice on our part.

It's no picnic praying in the garden. Just ask Jesus. Every time He needed to get alone with His Father, He found a garden to pray in. And that last one, He prayed so hard He sweat blood. I have never prayed that hard. I've cried, but not bled.

He knew what He was about to do would be the most difficult thing He would ever do. But He also knew that it was for that purpose that God had sent Him to this world. It required great sacrifice on His part.

He had to leave Home. For a few hours on the cross and 2 days in the grave He would be separated from His Father. An agony that literally broke His heart. With His heart already stopped, it is the reason only water poured forth from His side when the soldier's spear entered His body.

The holiness of God cannot be where sin is. With His Son Jesus Christ carrying the sins of the whole world, God could not see His Son; Christ could not see His Father. Not until God rolled the stone away and Jesus walked out of the grave.

But that separation from God was temporary. so that when we who believe on the Name of The LORD Jesus Christ would not be separated from our heavenly Father. Jesus obediently went through the mock trial, the gruesome crucifixion, the wrestling match with Satan in hell, in order to be God's sacrificial Lamb, which took away the sins of the world. Permanently.

Whereas the Old Testament sacrificial lamb only covered the sins of the people, the blood of the Holy Lamb of God washes away (woohoo!) the sins of the sinner.

I'm so glad that the LORD saved me. But I want Him to save you, too, if you are not already a believer. So, I pray for revival. In me, in you. A reviving of the desire to be a good and faithful servant. I pray for your salvation, your sanctification, your service to God.

I pray for your faithful testimony and strong witness. For your heart to be compassionate, your actions merciful and loving, your words to align with God's Word.

I pray for my witness to be strong and true. For my words and actions to line up with God's Word. Strength of testimony and a faith-filled life.

What am I willing to sacrifice to see revival fire fall? I guess we'll find out, won't we?
