Warrior of The Word - Armor of Light

WARRIOR OF THE WORD
Romans 13:12
The night is far spent, the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on
The Armor of Light.

(cf) Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Every piece of our Armor of Light is The Christ of God, Jesus, Who is The Light of Salvation to all who believe that He is Who He says He is. And has done what He came to do.
Only the wearer of The Armor of Light can overcome the rulers of darkness and their cohorts [Ephesians 6:11-13]. Every piece of The Armor of Light must be worn in our lifetime, that we may be able to overcome the temptations which evil presents us with.
We must believe that Jesus Christ Is Lord, because without this belief, no armor is available to anyone. For Christ is our Armor of Light [Isaiah 42:6; John 1:9; 8:12; 9:11]. The Armor of Light is the holiness of Christ, which adorns the wearer. [1 Peter 1:15,16; Leviticus 20:26; 1 John 3:3].
The unholy and the blasphemous cannot wear this Armor: they are defenseless against the forces of the enemy until they believe that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. Once we were without Strength, without Love, without Life, without Hope. Until we saw the Truth of God's Love in the face of Jesus Christ. So we pray for those who still walk in darkness that they, too, may soon see Jesus and be clothed with His Armor.
STRENGTH IN THE LORD: The Righteousness of Christ is our tunic. This is applied before any piece of armor can be worn [Romans 13:14]. Having become new creatures in Christ, we allow His Holy Spirit to change our minds regarding what is wrong and what is right. We learn daily when Christ remains that near to us. We behave different. We talk different. We live different. Not because we have to, but because we want to.
BELT: The Word of God is our belt. He wraps Himself around our circumference with Strength, for our breastplate will need to be anchored, but still give us room to move. Covenant Faithfulness, adhering to what is fact and not believing what is fiction; knowing the truth of a matter and refusing to believe the lies which surround it. God is True [Romans 3:4; Titus 1:2]. Therefore, The Son of God Is True [John 14:6]. Anyone else declaring himself or herself to be God and God's Son is a liar and a thief.
BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND LOVE: The Lord is our Righteousness [Psalm 119:137; 145:17; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Romans 3:21,22]. The Lord is The Love of God revealed to us who believe [Romans 8:39; 1 John 4:9,10].
SHOES: The Word of God is wrapped around my feet and up my legs: every Promise of God encircles my calves, and the promises of God are many. I step out in faith to do that which I have been called to do. Preach the gospel message of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. [Romans 10:15; Isaiah 52:7; Nahum 1:15; 2 Timothy 4:2; Mark 16:15]. And my feet are beautiful because Christ is beautiful. [Psalm 29:2; 96:9; Revelation 4:8].
HEADCOVERING: The Salvation of The Lord is our helmet. He is our Crown of Glory, our Crown of Life, our Crown of Righteousness, our Crown of Wisdom, and many more. He is our Covenant, covering us with Himself as our Intercessor and Mediator with God.
SHIELD: The Lord is My Shield [Genesis 15:1; Psalm 28:7; 84:11]. My faith in Him cannot be seen, only felt and known. It is not fully invisible, for when I bring my shield in front of me, the enemy's darts merely bounce off and fall to the ground.
SWORD: The Word of God is My Sword, for He is The Double-Edged Sword which divides soul from body [Hebrews 4:12]. This Sword is in His Mouth [Revelation 19:15]. It is The Sword of The Spirit of God. [2 Peter 1:21]. And as His servant, This Sword is the mouths of His prophets [Isaiah 59:21; Jeremiah 1:9; Deuteronomy 18:18] and in the mouths of His followers/disciples [1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; John 14:6; 1 Peter 4:11].
COMMUNICATION: Prayer is the vital source of communication between the believer and The One In Whom We Believe, God our heavenly Father. When we pray, we are addressing a Holy God Who is our Father [Luke 11:2]. The lines of communication are open to the person who not only believes in God's existence, but that God's WORD is True, and that God's Promises are Yes in Christ. [Hebrews 11:6; Psalm 119:160; 2 Corinthians 1:20].

We have put on the righteousness of Christ when we choose to believe that He is God's Only Begotten Son Who died on the cross so that we wouldn't have to suffer and die for our sins against God. Though there are many of us, the decision to believe and follow Christ must be made individually. Each of us must make a decision whether or not we will believe God and believe on The Name of God's Only Begotten Son for our salvation and deliverance.
Without this Armor of Light upon our souls, we are surely lost. For without Christ there is no salvation. No other god, no other name anywhere on this planet or another, can purchase our souls from the devil. For that is whom you belong to when you refuse God and His Christ.
    Romans 13:10-12
10. Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. 11. And do this, understanding the occasion. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
12. The night is nearly over; the day has drawn near. So let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on The Armor of Light.
