Undefeated-Learning to Listen to God

 Deuteronomy 28:7
The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated in front of you: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.

This verse is part of the blessings God gives to His people when they are aligned with His Word and obey His Law; not just the letter of the Law, but The Spirit of The Law. Deuteronomy 28:1 "And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of The LORD your God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command you this day, that The LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth."
Hearken diligently means to 'listen intelligently, attend to what is being said, obey what is being stated'. It is to listen with understanding and submit to The Word being given by God. This is doubly impactful upon us when we remember John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God gave us The Word (John 1:1-3, 14) for our salvation, that we might live in Him through His death and resurrection. It is up to us to believe on The Name of The Only Begotten Son of God.
Romans 10:8-10, 13 "But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved. ... For whosoever shall call upon The Name of The Lord shall be saved."
And though this newfound faith in Jesus' Name is our greatest blessing, it has also put a target on our backs and a price on our heads. We have attained 'illegal' status all over the world, for many people seek our demise hoping to wipe out God's people, both His elect people and His called people. For we who were not initially given God's people (Gentiles: anyone who is not a Jew) have been "called out of darkness into His marvelous Light." 1 Peter 2:9-10.
