1 John 2:2
He Himself is The Atoning Sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
The Atoning Sacrifice: Propitiation: sin offering/Christ's atoning blood that appeases (averts) God's wrath, on all confessed sin.
Only confessed sin is forgiven. We must confess all sins to God when we admit that our thoughts, and our actions, and our words have sinned against His Word.
His Word was nailed to a cross. His Word was beaten, bruised, and marred beyond recognition. His Word forgave the men who had done these things to Him and put Him on that cross.
His Word ministered to the lost, the found, the seeker, the dying, the dead, the weak, the hungry, the imprisoned, the homeless, the poor, the wealthy, the forsaken and the sick.
His Word is The Atoning Sacrifice Who died on the cross bearing the weight of sin of the whole world: from Adam until the present day and the future day. He died so we could live.
Live in Him and He in us. Live a life worth living. A life of hope of a resurrected life eternal through Him. A life of peace that passes understanding. A life which expresses joy in our salvation through the blood which He shed on Calvary. A life which is committed to obeying God's commandments with love and faithfulness.
