A Shelter For Me-Psalm 61:3

As Christians, we know where to go when we are distressed: to God. Our Bibles tell us that God is many places of rest and hiding when the enemy of our souls comes against. Whether the enemy whispers in our ears that we are not enough, not worthy to be heard by God, we know that we are. When the enemy attacks us via the people we love, and who say they love us, but refuse to believe the Truth of The Word of God, we know we can run to God and He will comfort us. 

For Thou hast been a Shelter for me, and a 

Strong Tower from my enemy. 

Psalm 61:3

There is nowhere else we can go to hide, to recuperate. We are not running away from the fight, we are running to God that He might fight for us. These battles against the enemy cannot be won by sheer will power on our part. We must turn to God or we will lose the fight.

With God as our Shelter, we are covered above and below, on every corner and walled about. Psalm 32:1 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered." Romans 4:7 repeats this verse "Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered." We are in the secret place of The Most High God; we are in Jesus Christ. And having overcome the enemy of our souls by His Blood and His Resurrection, we know that we are safe and sound in Him. 

With God as our Strong Tower none can come against Him and win. Many have tried and still attempt to erase God and God's Word by eradicating His people and His Church. They will not succeed. Psalm 92:7-8 "When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish: it is that they should be destroyed for ever: But Thou,  LORD, art Most High for evermore." Revelation 1:18 "I AM He That Lives, and was dead; and, behold, I AM Alive For Evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death." 

Why we would turn to anything man has to offer in this world when we can turn to God every single time for every little or huge thing that comes against us? Anything or anyone that is against any part of God's Word is against God, God's people and God's church.

Now is the time to fall on our knees, beg God's forgiveness, get renewed in The Spirit and tell this world in which we live that God Is Love; that God's Love was manifested in His only begotten Son Jesus Christ for the sins of the  whole world, not just a few. 

And remember, God is as close as the next breath of air we breathe, for with Christ living in us and we living in Him, we have become one in Spirit. We are an empowered Church and God will change the hearts of those who hear and believe.
